EZE 47:21-23 "Divide this land among your tribes; 22 it is to be your permanent possession. The foreigners who are living among you and who have had children born here are also to receive their share of the land when you divide it. They are to be treated like full Israelite citizens and are to draw lots for shares of the land along with the tribes of Israel. 23 All foreign residents will receive their share with the people of the tribe among whom they are living. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken."
Hmm... foreigners that didn't DO anything are to recieve an equal portion with a full Israelite. Sounds like grace too since this was decreed by the Lord. Ya think the full israelite citizens thought this was FAIR?
It is not just the great warriors who win and benefit in the battles. "...the lame take the prey." (Isa 3323) "...and she that tarried at home divided the spoil." (Psa 6812)
"Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it." (Isa 404-5) He doesn't sound much like an originator of human religious hierarchies; more like their destroyer. Neither is His glory just a few on top of the pile. His mouth says the revelation of His glory shall be seen by all flesh and that is what changes us into His image, "As by the Spirit of the Lord." "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." (2Cr 3:18)
When David came to the two hundred men who were too exhausted to follow David, who had also been left at the brook Besor, and they went out to meet David and to meet the people who were with him, then David approached the people and greeted them. Then all the wicked and worthless men among those who went with David said, "Because they did not go with us, we will not give them any of the spoil that we have recovered, except to every man his wife and his children, that they may lead them away and depart." Then David said, "You must not do so, my brothers, with what the LORD has given us, who has kept us and delivered into our hand the band that came against us. "And who will listen to you in this matter? For as his share is who goes down to the battle, so shall his share be who stays by the baggage; they shall share alike." So it has been from that day forward, that he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel to this day.

Consider the story of Naaman the leper, in II Kings 5. He went to Elisha, and once he submitted to washing seven times, he was cured. The Israelites so often thought they deserved all of God's blessings as a right, but the Biblical record does not bear it out. God is no respecter of persons, at least, not as men are.
