My friend just bought a house that is haunted. It's run down and needs a lot of repair and he wants me to help him work on it. I need the money but i really don't want anything to do with the house because i know whats in it. I have been praying and asking for a sign from God if i should get involved with it or not. Looking for some Christian advice on what to do in this situation.
Can you cast out what's in there in Jesus' Name?
If you can go in peace and faith and cnfidence in the name of Jesus- I would do the work, praying, and cast that spirit out of there through prayer if God anoints you with faith to do it.
If you feel fear about it, examine that fear to see if it is based in superstition or in a sense that the Lord does not want you to get involved.
If it just superstition, I would still work on that before I went in there- but whatever is haunting that house cannot hurt you if you walk in faith.
My main fear is i went though Demonic sleep paralysis at the beginning of the year. I am just now getting used to the fact that God is real and there are fallen angels. I don't really know how strong my faith is, i mean i know for a fact God is real and Jesus died for my sins. I have actual proof from my own experience so i don't need faith as far as that goes.
I guess I'm worried about seeing things i don't want to be seeing. All i have experienced in the house is foot steps and knocking i have never seen a full bodied apparition although i know they have been seen in the house. My friend refuses to believe that the places is haunted. The house has broken up marriages and caused misfortune to everyone who's lived in it. The ghost seems to be attached to one part of the house but i'm still kinda worried about it maybe attaching it's self to me. I just don't need anymore evil around me at all.
I would not even begin to know how to or attempt to cast a demon out of this house. I thought Catholics were the only ones to do that sort of thing and from the stories i have heard sometimes it takes months or years and can have negative health effects on them. So i really don't want involved in any of that.
I experienced demonic sleep paralysis when I was newly saved(40 years ago). I learned a lot about invoking the name of Jesus in faith through that experience.
My advice to you tho, is not to take my advice. Seek the Lord for peace about how to respond, one way or the other.

My whole family was tormented by ''weird '' things and shadow people and things flying though the air , hitting and harming us all the time ,
when we moved it was still happening .. I really believe it was attached to my Dad , he experienced this first many years ago in childhood and in Austria
We were what mental experts call a dysfunctional family ..
All this comes from and stems from ''rebellion '' really it does
Sometimes it is just not by choice , its what it takes to make you believe though experiences .. If no one ever had to go though it I would call them Blessed !!
It seems silly to most folks and I say , Yay , for you !! never having to see the evil in that depth and way , ever !!
I know it was not until we began to mature as Christians , by faith believing as God come to make a way that seemed there was no way to be relieved from the madness , it can cause madness , insanity and folly and deeper destruction . suffer so much loss .
and until we realized it is GOD WHO IS IN CONTROL , ALL POWER and nothing and do mean nothing is allowed unless it is in Gods desire , nothing will ever change , not even you ... it is all fear driven and based on ''things of this world only '' overcoming the world is a mighty task and until the Christ is in you , none stand a chance ..
Rebellion is a deadly battle in and of itself , I do believe until every thought and act is taken into captivity, by Jesus Christ HIMSELF , the peace that only the Lord can give , you will know it when it happens ..
Those things do fear HIM , AND When He is with you STRONG in Spirit and Truth they cannot hide within you or around you any longer
Only a few have to go so deep into those depths of bondage and insanity and the evil is undeniable , will we even, seek the Lords face ...
Some hearts are just that hard to bust open and its all examples for us to KNOW GOD IS IN CONTROL
Totally and completely and our great lack of understanding and need for Him in our lives , in the here and now .
I do not like to talk about the past , but if it helps you in any way, its worth speaking about it , when others are hurting , We are always thankful , to God be the GLORY , when its passed ..it is a nightmare when going though it , in every sense of the word ..
Pray and am sure some here will pray with you in secret , having compassion and understanding , to HOLY SPIRIT /WORD OF TRUTH , for deliverance IN JESUS NAME ... and pray none fall to that depth of temptation thinking it is not real , because it sure seems real when you are in the middle of it . :HeartThrob:

I haven't had a whole lot of experience with that, apart from obvious intrusive demonic thoughts as a teenager (which is what pushed me to God). I did have some sort of SOMETHING breathing on me one night in a house I was staying in, you could feel the evil in there, yet I was more annoyed than afraid for some reason, just wanted to go to sleep and the darn thing wouldn't stop breathing right on my face. Lol! I've read many stories of these things though and they truly are terrified of Christ. Do what you feel led to do brother.
One thing I do believe is that if you don't face a fear you'll never overcome it. All in His time and leading though. Pray and see what the Lord leads. Blessings!
I've had demons in me in the past and suffered because of it, but I prayed to God and got saved from the evil. God's love overcomes all evil. When Jesus was confronted by Satan himself in the wilderness, he just kept quoting the word of God. Satan even tried using the word of God to deceive him, but Jesus just kept coming back with the word of God until Satan gave up and left him. Study the word of God and know it to fortify you against evil whenever and wherever it confronts you. You have the power to overcome evil if you just believe and trust God.

I love the prayer Jesus shared about GOD THE FATHER not leading us into temptation/ causing us to fail and fall and learn to trust in God only , but , delivering us from the '' the evil ''
and How Peter says it would be better if God would will it/ desire that we suffer for doing good rather than for suffering for doing evil
Jesus suffered greatly for evil that was never his , but ours and He done excellent conquering the world and death , they have nothing in HIM
We should all be getting in Christ the sooner the better , our greatest example of,,, How to LOVE in the face of adversity ...
