Interesting verse - Micah 6:6-8
"6 What shall I bring to the Lord, the God of heaven, when I come to worship him? Shall I bring the best calves to burn as offerings to him? 7 Will the Lord be pleased if I bring him thousands of sheep or endless streams of olive oil? Shall I offer him my first-born child to pay for my sins? 8 No, the Lord has told us what is good. What he requires of us is this: to do what is just, to show constant love, and to live in humble fellowship with our God.
Sacrifice and burnt offerings I did not desire, but a body you have prepared for me.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
--Psa 40
I have told all your people about your justice.
I have not been afraid to speak out,
as you, O Lord, well know.
10 I have not kept the good news of your justice hidden in my heart;
I have talked about your faithfulness and saving power.
I have told everyone in the great assembly
of your unfailing love and faithfulness.
11 Lord, don't hold back your tender mercies from me.
Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.
--Psa 40
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endures forever.
--Psa 136:1
Simple faith I bring to thee
Knowledge is too high for me
When I think to understand
All the works of thy great hand
I am filled with gratitude
Grant me please the attitude
Messiah bore, the humble servant,
That never will I stumble errant
Lifted up and looking down
On others Thou hast gathered round
This table- Fellowship so good
Like wine- The taste of brotherhood
Among the friends for whom you laid
Your life upon this altar made
of grace
Love, bring love...and that to be renewed and refilled, for what has been given....yes bring love.
