Some random Menorah related stuff.

The Hebrew word for Almond is LUZ. Luz is the root word for light.


The middle lamp is called Ner Elohim - The Lamp of God
Or Shamash - The Servant Lamp
The middle bowl or lamp is thus a symbol of Jesus


7 lamps
7 churches
7 days (of creation)
7 visible planets (including the sun)
7 spirits of God Rev. 4:5
7 hebrew words in Genesis 1:1

The famous untranslated 4th word (http://www.tentmaker.org/forum/word_studies/the_fourth_word_8391.0.html) ath is middle of those 7 words.

7 is the number of Divisions in the Bible and the number of creation days.

1] Torah - Creation of light. The law/Torah. Prov 6:23 the law is light
2] OT History - Seperation of waters into land and sea. Red sea parted. Entering the promised land.
3] Books of wisdom - Trees created. Wisdom is a "tree of life" (Prov 3:18)
4] Major Prohets - Creation of sun, moon and stars. Light bearers.
5] Minor Prophets - Fish and fowl
6] NT history - Creation of man. Son of man.
7] Epistles - Sabbath. Salvation by grace not by works (no work on Sabbath)

there are 7 divisions of the electromagnetic spectrum
the central division is the visible spectrum
there are 7 colors in the visible spectrum
the central color is green the color of life on earth

I see this a little different, order comes from askelm restoring the original bible order, explantations me

1. Law/ Torah        Light
2. Prophets           separating waters above from waters below, heavens/spiritual vs seas/carnal/death/abyss  the hebrew word for sea yam is also the caananite pagan god of death btw
3. Writings            Trees wisdom, the third division of this Daniel/chronicles/ezra nehemiah kept outside city on mount of olives at golgotha, head count+prove a jew there
4. Gospels/Acts          Sun=Son, Moon=bride, stars=sons of God         new Torah
5. General Epistles      good/birds  bad/fish  (not sure about this one)           
6. Pauline Epistles      building up of the new man, also note the day starts with creation of beasts ends with man, Pauls
7. Revelation             the unveiling of Christ in us who is the Sabaath

Judges 1:23
So the house of Joseph sent men to spy out Bethel. (The name of the city was formerly Luz.)

Bethel =house of God

Zech 14:6-9 (AMP);

        But it shall be one continuous day, known to the Lord--not day and not night, but at evening time there shall be light.

       And it shall be in that day that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern [Dead] Sea and half of them to the western [Mediterranean] Sea;
       in summer and in winter shall it be.
