As far as I can see man was made a little less than messengers, now some say that man was lowered from spirit to experience the earthy, I do not see anything in angels(messengers) that says they were "spirits" first or that angels[messengers] are spirits.
Man was formed and made from the dust of the ground and was given the power to breath and live, live the same living as all breathing creatures.
I reason that mankind thinks pretty much of himself, because he was given abilities that were different from the other beasts of the field. And man has invented many things to make him feel quite good about himself.

What we are in Christ is much greater than what Genesis created us as. One, we have suffered with Christ.

"One, we have suffered with Christ."    We are suffering with Christ.

I do not accept that the method of Gen.2:7 was creating, the Lord God formed H3335 yâtsar probably identical with H3334 (through the squeezing into shape); (compare H3331); to mould into a form; especially as a potter; figuratively to determine (that is, form a resolution): -  X earthen, fashion, form, frame, make (-r), potter, purpose.
No I suggest that formed man is quite different from creating man.

I don't see any difference really.  Not when you get down to the crux.  God CREATED everything and out of what he created, whether he formed, molded, made or whatever . .. it's still God who did it and we're still in his image.  Why the sparring?

My only answer to that is that I believe that Gen.1:27 is still becoming( in Genesis 1 The Word is being SPOKE John1) and it is through Gen.2:7, when the Lord God formed) that He is preforming His plan and purpose. I say this because should God have created mankind in image and His likeness he failed pretty much unless of course what we see today in mankind is His image and likeness.

Firstly because Genesis says so.
Secondly because Jesus said so. Jesus healed on Sabbath (day 7). The Pharisees question Him on that. Jesus answered them with a question "Doesn't Father also heal on Sabbath"?
Meaning the correcting/training/teaching of mankind is healing and God is busy doing so on His Sabbath day that's over 6000 years long.
