Love Me Or Else

Hi All;
Was just looking at this from my old concept of what I had been taught by the church. I was always told to fear God, and repent or go to hell.
As a dad I now look at my children as a little hint of how much our Heavenly Father is way above what I even attempt.
I would never say to my children- love me or get out of here and never come back. I would always attempt to lovingly correct with the outlook of this being part of their learning how to live.
Hebrews 12 tells us that our heavenly Father loves us way more than our dads. So He would never tell us to 'love Him or else."

Then the term 'Fear" God seems to be a mistranslation of the term "Awe".
To me, total awe blows my socks away when coming to realise the majesty and attention to detail carried out by being planned before the world began.
Ergo- no failure displayed by God, just sheer brilliance in his plan.

Yeah true.
The 10 days from Jewish new year to Day of Atonement (judgement) are called the days of awe.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Doesn't the above verse mean those that fear God don't truly love Him? Doesn't God very strongly desire to be loved? So your church' view seems anti-Biblical.

No matter what happens there sre only two questions.

1. Where is the Love ? :HeartThrob:
2. Where is *** MY *** Love?   :HeartThrob:

If Love is first for both, then Father is with us   :HeartThrob:

Otherwise, not so much.

hello! :smile: For some time now, I have found myself thinking that if the Spring Holy Days of God prophesied our Lord's 1st advent (and was fulfilled by it) then surely(?) the Fall Holy Days prophecy, and will fulfill His long 2nd advent (of basically 3 peaks).

This would make (after Day of Trumpets, DOT) the millenium of 1000 years coincide with/be "The 10 days from Jewish new year to Day of Atonement (judgement) called the days of awe." - DOA - dead on arrival/to 2nd resurrection/Day of Judgement,  into (surprise! Great) Day Of Atonement.

IMO, it is only at the end of this (very?) long day of examining (all?) human history,etc (Judgment Day) that is said "those not written in the book of life" (not believing) "will go to the 2nd death, the LOF" - For this verse, is at the very end of the chapter, being the last verse, even aFter "and death and the grave are cast into the LOF".

My thought has been, after aLL have experienced being resurrected and witnessing and living thru (500 years?) of the examination/judgement of all things.. who the heck's not going to "believe"? (One or two extremely stubborn holdouts? to then be cleansed in LOF aionian.) [If 10days coincides with 1000yrs, then surely(?) 5 days between DOA & Tabernacles coincides to 500 yrs.]

The biggest obstacle to UR is the 'church' perception that it means the saving of all w/o necessarily "believing".

Following all this of course, is "Tabernacles" when the very Throne of God and God Himself comes to the planet to "tabernacle"/dwell with man -  :banana: :dsunny: :cloud9:

Seems to be my point that unfortunately many church are missing the mark about the truth in the scriptures. The truth sets us free, so if we are not free then the truth is not there.
