My kids have taught me so much about the love of God. The whole reason I came to know the truth of God being all in all was because of my firstborn, my daughter Mikaela. I just couldn't imagine God letting her be lost forever, no matter what she did. I knew that even if for some reason she grew up to be a mass murderer I could never abandon her, I would always love her. Simply her being born made me seek the Lord in this matter and He revealed His love to me and His true plan to become all in all.
My son Joshua has taught me many lessons too. (If you don't like "potty talk" stop reading now lol.) Just the other day he exploded in his diaper... I didn't notice in time and he went and dug his hand in it... I still didn't notice as I was playing drums on rockband and he wiped it all over my arm... I still didn't notice til after the song was over and I thought, oh gee, Joshie must need his diaper changed... LOL. Anyhow, the point is, was I angry with him for exploding in his diaper, or for getting it all over himself or even for getting it all over my arm? Certainly not! When we are covered in filth is the Father angry at us? Does He hate us for it? Or does He come like a tender Father and wash us clean? Yes, wash us clean He does.
Not only has the Lord taught me things through my children, but my new neighbors have a beautiful golden lab. This dog is such a precious creature. He is so gentle and loving to my 17 month old son. And just as I was thinking those thoughts a few weeks back the Lord brought this verse to my mind: outside are the dogs (etc...) I had always read that verse with an air of condemnation (I come from the "church", forgive me.) What the Lord was showing me was that the "dogs" are not to be looked down upon, they are also precious in His sight. I thank the Lord for His compassion and grace with me as He leads me out of darkness into His marvellous light.
Thank You Lord. <3
That's kewl.

BDB Definition:
Joshua or Jehoshua = "Jehovah is salvation"
Remember that it was Joshua that led the Jews across the Jordan.
Seems your son did the same with you.
:2cnt:
:)
Yes, and I've heard that Jesus could've been called Joshua in His day... I didn't know that until after I named him.
You are the angel that named Jesus?
Lomarah,
I agree wholeheartedly. I learn much about the love of God toward us from my daughter and our dogs. Animals are to humans as humans are to God (maybe not exactly but you catch my drift)
Or dogs are to humans as humans should be to God.
