As most of you know, poor little Leah passed away on my birthday.
Now I have another puppy, Gracie.
I named her Gracie because she was chosen by me in grace and not out of works. Nothing she did secured my choice of her. It was totally gratuitous (look that up in your Funk and Wagnel!), just like God does in choosing us . . . in grace.
And just as she has has her problems like all puppies do (peeing and pooping where she should not) yet I do not reckon any of her offenses and deal graciously with all her offenses (Eph 4:32 yet become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate, dealing graciously among yourselves, according as God also, in Christ, deals graciously with you.")
She too is a poochi (part poodle and part chihuahua).

I tried to tell her that if she crosses my path and does something bad before repenting of it and dies that she will go to the eternal dog pound to be eternally tortured in fire, but she doesn't seem to get it. But is that my fault? I warned her. Now it is all up to her. :laughing7:

Good job in finding a new puppy. Probably won't actually "replace" Leah, but she'll help you heal, and she'll be a great companion!

Her pottie training is going really well. But she whines all night while in her crate. I wish I could help her transition to her new home. It is hard for her.
Yes, Gracie is a Universalist. She believes all dogs will be saved, even wolves dressed in sheeps clothing.

Ah, what a cute little puppy!
We recently lost Kaiah, an Eskie who was greatly loved.
Our 'new' (he's a rescue) puppy is a long haired chihuahua named Sage.
Like Kaiah, he's taken to using puppy pads to do his business.
Gracie is a real cutie and I hope she brings great joy to you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know very well how hard it is to lose a furry friend. But I also know well how a new friend can help to heal the hurt again. Your new furry friend is just adorable, and I love her name! :bigGrin: My own dog is named Gracie, too. My furry friend, Shadeaux, passed away suddenly about a year and a half ago, and I was just crushed. She was 13 years old, and not in the very best of health, but I was not expecting her death. My breeder friend offered me one of her dogs, and I chose my Gracie. Her papered name is Amazing Grace because when she was born and they were trying to name her, the song "Amazing Grace" started playing on the radio. It struck both my friend and her husband that this was a reminder to them of God's incredible blessing of grace in their lives. Now she is my Amazing Gracie.
