We are made up of 3 parts: body, soul and spirit.

John 1:32  And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

If Jesus already had a spirit why did He need a 2nd/Holy Spirit?
Does that mean that everyone that receives the HS from then on is 4 parts?

By lack of better words: The Bible and commentaries always seem to describe the HS as a seperate "entity" send by God for performing some job.

So, how many good spirits there are?
a] Same number as there are people
b] Just one the HS
c] a +1

Jesus casted out many evil spirits so my guess is that answer c]

But then the description that we are 3 parts is in many cases not correct because some people are 4 parts.
Unless the HS is "just" an external visitor.
The Bible makes it sound that the HS decending as a dove or flames is a permanent gift.
What exactly does that HS do? Talk to the soul? Or perhaps unlock your own spirit?
I mean if the HS does all the work then what is the use of having your personal spirit?
Even Jesus needed the HS and I'm sure He had a good spirit before He received the HS.
If the HS is the only authority it mean that the personal spirit always is locked up inside of you with no task at all.

Please explain. S-l-o-w-l-y
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

:cloud9: Sorry, but this is going to be long; it's just not possible to bring out a short version, LOL.......So; no one has to agree with me, but this is what I've been shown. He gave all men a measure of faith to receive Him. This deposit of His breath is literally the breath or Spirit of life, that He is. This is why it says let everything that hath BREATH or His Spirit, praise the Lord.

Eph 3:9 - And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Col 1:16 - For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Now His breath, being Spirit, was poured into His creation, which is why it says that there was no thing that was created that was not created thru and by Christ, who is SPIRIT, ie. the Word/breath from the beginning. Jesus, BECAME this Word/breath made flesh or natural realm of natural things, the things below the firmament. The natural creation is part of the Word of God that was made flesh.

Ge 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

That Hebrew word there for beginning, can be translated as "firstfruits". So with the understanding above, we have, "In the firstfruits, God created the heaven (spirit) and the earth (soul or flesh realm)."

We are told in Genesis that the firmament was between the waters above (where God is, the Holy of Holies in type) and the waters below (natural creation realm), and that it was called "heaven". We are told that Christ is the mediator between God (waters above) and man (waters below). Men are spoken of as "waters". Interesting that our bodies are literally composed of almost all water.

We are told that we are to put on Christ, so as to walk IN Christ, and that our conversation is in HEAVEN, and that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Also, that we are seated (means established) in HEAVENLY places with Christ Jesus. All these things are tied together, as hopefully you can see now. So Christ IS the firmament, and this firmament is in all things that were created by and thru Him.

I saw this on the news a few years back and it resonated with me on the above. Some scientists had developed some machine with super-sensitive hearing and they used it to listen to the normally annoying sound of crickets rubbing their legs together. They were shocked to find that amplified, it sounded like the most beautiful symphony was playing.

Another witness to this to me, is with some of the NDE's that people have had, including that of my own uncle who "died" on the operating table and they brought him back. He said he heard the most beautiful symphony he had ever heard, "playing" the whole time. This "sound" is the sound of, "let everything that hath breath praise the Lord".

Praise is not only words that we speak, but there is a Spirit of praise, and that Spirit is the Spirit of Christ, who always gives praise and honor and glory to the Father. On the day of Pentecost, it was said that the men who received the Holy Ghost, spoke thru the Spirit, of the wonderful works of God among men. It is, first and foremost, a Spirit of praise.

So having said all this foundation, the spirit of man, is the candle of the Lord.

Pr 20:27 - The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

Notice He says it's HIS. A candle must be lit to produce light, and this is quite literally what the baptism of the HG does, is light our candle. This is why it was seen in an open vision by all present, as "tongues" ie. flames of fire upon their heads.

We are saved, spirit, soul, and body, in that order. Salvation is not a one-time-does-all experience as the scripture, "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling", shows. Word there for salvation means deliverance also, and deliverance there is speaking of the soul needing deliverance. But that's another topic.

So the baptism in the Spirit "seals" the spirit part of man which "died" in the garden, "clothes" it in Him, so that he doesn't have only the initial first breath of God blown into his nostrils, the measure of faith given to him to receive Christ, but has the earnest of our inheritance whose purpose is to bring us back into the garden of God, ie. His firmament/heaven/Christ.

Heaven is not a "location", but a state of being, which is, IN CHRIST. So we, as "Adam" were lowered into this bondage of corruption (waters below the firmament), but He subjected the same in hope, ie. Christ in you, the hope of glory. The "spark" we were given, is to become a flame, set upon a "hill", that cannot be hid. And then those "hills" with flames ascend the mount of God, and behold, they have become a lamb (word there used only once is lambkin, the OFFSPRING of the Lamb). Blessings....

All very clear. And at least 95% of my own understanding.

I remember that being posted a few months back. By Molly I think.

That makes perfect sense.

So the spirit of most people is 'asleep' whole their life because the HS only lights the spirit of the elect/chosen.
Right?

:cloud9: God put Adam to sleep in the garden but nowhere in the OT can you find where He woke him up. But in the NT we read.......

Eph 5:14 - Wherefore he saith, AWAKE thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

1Co 15:34 - AWAKE to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Ro 5:17 - For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Christ IS our righteousness, which is why we are told to put Him on. After the initial baptism in the HG, we begin grow in the understanding of righteousness thru the eating of the Word/bread/letter/Moses in the light of the candlestick/wine/Spirit/Elijah.

2Co 6:7 - By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand (Elijah) and on the left (Moses),

Mt 20:23 - And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

This is why Moses and Elijah appeared with Him on the mount. By the word of truth (Word) and by the power of God (Spirit), the Son appears in the midst of us. Which is why is says.....

Mt 5:6 - Blessed are they which do hunger (bread) and thirst (wine) after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Christ IS our righteousness, the "linen" of the saints, just as the priests wore linen, and which is why our own garments are as filthy rags.

Eph 4:24 - And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

2Pe 3:13 - Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

As for the last scripture here; in my previous post above, where were the heavens and the earth created? So why is nearly everyone looking for a new heaven and a new earth outside of themselves, again? Mind of Christ = new heaven, glorified body = new earth. Blessings.....

Did you expect the sky to rend asunder?

Were you expecting lightening, hail and thunder?

Have you looked up to the skies With beclouded earthly eyes?

Did you expect the Lord to come that way?

Once He came and they laid Him in a manger.

He came unto His own, but remained a stranger.

Though some still looked for the King

They never heard the angels sing,

They didn't expect the Lord to come that way.

None could desire Him, for He had no beauty.

It then became their strict religious duty,

Because His life they could not see,

To nail and hang Him on a tree.

How could they expect the Lord to come that way?

That age is over; a new one is beginning.

It's time for the next appearing without sinning.

If He comes in robes of flesh

And riding on a lowly ass,

Would you expect the Lord to come that way?

Be careful, then, just how you judge another,

For Christ may come to you as just a brother.

He's Zion's incognito King

     Whose coming will salvation bring

To those who expect the Lord to come that way.

"All flesh is not the same," our Lord has taught us.

For when that sonship comes, which He has bought us,

He's a Man within a man,

A Living Word beyond time's span.

We MUST expect the Lord to come that way.

Yes, we MUST expect the Lord to come that way,

For the Lord will surely, surely come that way

In the sons of God... today!

Amen Dear Sister Cardinal,

Rev. 16

15 ("Lo! I am coming as a thief! Happy is he who is watching and keeping his garments, that he may not be walking naked and they may be observing his indecency!")
16 And they mobilized them at the place called, in Hebrew, "Armageddon."
17 And the seventh messenger pours out his bowl on the air. And a loud voice came out of the temple of God, saying, "It has occurred!"

"It has occurred!"

Song of Solomon 3 (Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition)

1 In my bed by night I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, and found him not.

2 I will rise, and will go about the city: in the streets and the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, and I found him not.

3 The watchmen who keep the city, found me: Have you seen him, whom my soul loveth?

4 When I had a little passed by them, I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him: and I will not let him go, till I bring him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that bore me.

What do you think of this idea of the 'belly'[ 'womb'] having chambers?  Searching out all the chambers of the womb--does that have a psychological application even?

What do you think of this idea of the 'belly'[ 'womb'] having chambers?  Searching out all the chambers of the womb--does that have a psychological application even?

:cloud9: The soul is like a womb; it reproduces whatever seed is planted in it. It has 4 chambers, just as our natural heart, another witness, has 4 chambers. They are; the mind, will, emotions, and desires.

The Spirit searches out the HIDDEN THINGS OF THE HEART, ie. this womb. He "penetrates her", planting "seed" in the darkness of her, until that darkness is consumed by the light.

As I have shared before, this is why the brazen (brass speaks of judgment; in this case the judgment of the "fleshly" things of a man's heart) had 4 corners, to which the sacrifice was tied down to. Each of these 4 chambers is placed on the altar, which is how we make ourselves a LIVING sacrifice.

This is another witness to the soul surviving the death of the body, as well as a witness to UR, because the sacrifice of the soul is LIVING, and therefore those that lay down the body not having accomplished this sacrifice while still IN the body, are still subjected to the "lake of fire" which is as the fire under the altar that consumed the sacrifice.

The altar had a grate on top, by which the ashes fell thru the grate. This is why it says for ashes He gives us beauty (the image of the Christ after all our flesh is burnt off), and why those UNDER the altar in the book of Revelation were crying out for their brethren to be killed as they were. This was not as the blood of Abel, but a cry for their brethren to be sanctified and purified in fire, just as they were/are.

Additionally, horns means power. The points of a crown are also called "horns" for this reason, as a king's "horns" on his crown represented how many provinces he was king over. Horns is also as the rays or horns of the sun, and as the "tongues" of fire seen on the day of Pentecost.

We start out with one horn "on" our head (the carnal mind), and then two (the carnal mind + the mind of Christ) after the baptism in the HG, as these two kingdoms begin a battle for supremacy over our "land". This is why the scripture states a double minded man is unstable in all of his ways. Selah the implications......Blessings....

:cloud9: Given how we're talking about the parts, I thought this would be a good thread to repost some more understanding given to me about the soul........some of it will be a repeat of what I just posted.......sorry about the length......

There are 4 parts to the soul of man, which correspond to the 4 rivers that came out of the garden, the four corners of our earth (man was taken from the dust/earth). The four parts are mind, will, emotions and desires. When He said He would call them out of the four corners of the earth, He also meant out of OUR ways to be centered into His ways, our new heart, the mind of Christ. These 4 become one AGAIN, IN CHRIST, in Revelation, thru the processing of the walking out of the cross, which is as the brazen altar. The desire of all nations shall come, and is coming now.

There are four horns on the altar because of this, on which we are tied down with cords of love which cannot be broken. Horns mean power. These 4 horns, make up one of the crowns we must lay down (on the altar). The crowns had points or "horns"; each point or ray, (think of her crown in Rev.) meant that the one who wore it was given dominion over that kingdom, which is what the points stood for.

This is also why there were 4 watches in night, which were composed of 3 hours each, so 3 times 4 = 12, the twelve hours of darkness. So there are 4 parts to the nighttime/darkness of our souls.

The name/natures/life experiences of 12 tribes are part of the Christ that is formed in us; so are the name/natures/life experiences of the 12 apostles. What John saw took place IN THE TEMPLE. "Know ye not that ye are the temple of the Holy Ghost?"

These 2 (two is the number of witness) twelves, are the 24 elders around the throne. Our heart becomes His throne, when He is ruling in it completely. Interestingly, when you look up the word for elder, it runs into a meaning of "rays", as in rays of light, and horns, as above.

Those under the old covenant (12 tribes) represent the 12 hours of darkness, for their light (the Christ) had not yet come. They are the walls/gates of of the city = the depth and height. The priests ate the shewbread and bread speaks of the Word. We are a priestly nation, a peculiar or chosen people, who are called to eat the bread in the light of the candlestick (the Spirit of Christ).

Each one of their names means something spiritually to us. For example, Judah means praise and it is in the inner court experience of the baptism in the Spirit, that we learn what it means to praise God thru our spirits. Simeon, means to hear, and it is also hear that we learn to listen for the voice of our Father.

The 12 apostles represent the 12 hours of light, and are the foundation of the city = width and breadth. 12 times 12 =144,000 which is the government of God established in the earth (Adam was taken from the dust of the earth) with the Christ, which is the Chief cornerstone. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, IN EARTH, as it is in heaven. G-d changes the lump before He changes the whole; He doesn't change the world, then change the individuals. He changes the individuals from the inside out, THEN He will use them to change the world.

Together, with the light of the Christ, they make up the new DAY of the Lord (12 plus 12 = 24), when the day star arises in our hearts, to sit upon His throne in us. Another way to say it is, when He resurrects IN US, having put all powers and principalities IN US, under His feet (His foundation), IN US. This is the full measure and stature of Christ.

This soulish "body", the "stony heart" is the tomb He lays in and we want this millstone, the carnal mind that has bound us to the works of the flesh governed over by the yoke of the law, to give up the ghost, so that the hand of God can move it out of it's place, breaking this, the last seal on the tomb, so that He can resurrect up out of the flesh of us. The last enemy to be overcome is DEATH.

This is why John lost his head. The Lord told me that He has been forming these natures of the Christ of these 24, and that they have been entering the ark, by TWO'S, and that John comes to bring Benjamin, the son of my right hand, the finishing work. John is the friend of the bridegroom because he hears the voice of the bridegroom, and his voice comes to do just what John the beloved, the revelator/the unveiler, did.

Which is; pronounce the judgments upon the flesh/church/woman covering up the Christ/son, which is keeping the veil of this flesh from being rent, ie. the child from being born. Why is he the friend of the bridegroom? No greater LOVE than any man than this, that he lay down his life (the soulish life) for his friend. He said that he hears His voice and for this reasons his joy is full.

His joy is full because if the part of the Christ of John the beloved has been formed in us, then He can speak what needs to be spoken to RELEASE the Lord from our midst! Halleluah! The friend of the bridegroom comes to bring forth the bride, ie. the redeemed soul that He can come forth thru and in, the wheel within a wheel. Joy cometh in the morning, because the day star arises in the morning. It is righteous (outer court), peace (inner court) and joy (Holy of Holies).

For our ashes, He gives us beauty. The altar had a grate (corresponds to the lattice in Song of Sol. = in-part), and this is why those souls were stated to be UNDER the altar in Rev., crying not for vengance as the blood of Adam would dictate, but asking when the rest of their brethren (which is all humanity) would be killed as they were, ie. consumed by Him as by fire, His love.

In the previous chapter, it states these are those that are REDEEMED from among men. These are those (us, God willing) that take place in the first resurrection, loving not our lives (soulish life, ie. the life the soul thinks it has, which is really death, for to be carnally minded is death) unto the death (of the cross = 4 horns of altar).

Everything He did we walk out spiritually; if it were not so, and we were there already by virtue of Him doing it all, then we would have to take out all the feasts that we have partaken of spiritually already, and a great many scriptures, such as work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. He is the forerunner beyond the veil, meaning first.

First means there must be more to FOLLOW, not more already there. This body is the means of getting there, for without it there is no flesh to lay down, which is why they (without bodies) cannot be made perfect or complete. Now I know that we are already one with Him in Spirit, but it's the rest of our triune being that must come into union with Him in reality = Truth. This is how He showed me we are to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, ie. we are by the power of His Spirit, making heaven and earth come into agreement/covenant/oneness.

Yes, obedience is better than sacrifice, but it takes both the old covenant (12 tribe names/natures = sacrifice of flesh) and the new (12 apostles names/natures = obedience of Spirit) to produce the new DAY, the DAY OF THE LORD, the day of no part darkness. Hallelujah! Blessings....
