Title: Great White Throne Judgement = Judgement from within
Post by: WhiteWings on April 01, 2011, 06:12:04 PM
First bit for Shawn to verify  :winkgrin:

YLT1Kgs 10
18 And the king maketh a great throne of ivory, and overlayeth it with refined gold;
19 six steps hath the throne, and a round top is to the throne behind it, and hands are on this side and on that, unto the place of the sitting, and two lions are standing near the hands,
20 and twelve lions are standing there on the six steps, on this side and on that; it hath not been made so for any kingdom.

Ivory=color of the brain
Gold=the brain has a golden glow over it.
6 steps = 6 brain regions. Six main neurotransmitters
2x12 lions = pairs of cranial nerves

YLTRom 14
12 so, then, each of us concerning himself shall give reckoning to God;
YLT1Cor 4
1 Let a man so reckon us as officers of Christ, and stewards of the secrets of God,

Judgement is seperate right from wrong.
YLT1Cor 6
2 have ye not known that the saints shall judge the world? and if by you the world is judged, are ye unworthy of the smaller judgments?

We are unworthy to judge others.

YLT1John 2
16 because all that is in the world--the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of the life--is not of the Father, but of the world,

We judge our own lust and our thoughts=angels=messengers

YLTLuke 17
21 nor shall they say, Lo, here; or lo, there; for lo, the reign of God is within you.'

Kingdom isn't litterally a kingdom but reign.
We reign over our thoughts from our throne. Our brain

I believe there is going to be a great emphasis on the pursuit of the kingdom within and a reformation of Christian thinking as a result.  The foundation of Jesus' ministry dealt with him presenting the framwork of the kingdom of God.  That's mostly all he talked about in the early stages of his ministry . . ."the kingdom of heaven is like  a mustard seed, like good soil, like hidden treasure that's been unearthed. . . the kingdom of heaven is here . .. " In the kingdom, everything is backwards to what our logic and reason conclude it to be.  Least is greatest, first is last, up is down, black is white . . .hit those who hit you changes into love those who hate you . . .not just those who like you, but those who treat you the worst than anyone.

The more one pursues the kingdom and all that it entails, the more Christ becomes known to us in everything we seel.

Judging the world . . .to me, is identifying the worldliness within me and taking personal accountability for that, instead of blaming it all on a satan that is entailing.

wabbit...its been a while,  I like your train of thought here...

Given the following, it does seem that we are communing/worshiping God in the place where our thoughts reside, in the "innermost parts of our being."  Innermost parts: the most hidden parts....the place where no other man can see?

I Cor 2:11
"For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God."

Prov 20:27
"The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD,
         Searching all the innermost parts of his being"

And given that this is a literal place, I mean in the way that you describe it, in our brains, what happens when we die? Our temple is destroyed, and then what?

It depends on what you classify as regions.  There are 5 main regions of the brain, the cerebellum, occipital, temporal, parietal and the frontal.  Then there is a further breakdown of those regions...ie brocas area.  You could speculate that the brain stem is also part of the brain, or the tentorium connecting the two hemispheres are also part of the brain.  There are indeed 12 pairs of cranial nerves.  I don't know if I would call the brain color ivory, it appears more light gray to me.  As for neurtransmitters there are many.  So, it would depend on which ones you classify as "main".  Dopamine, serotonin, GABA, acetylcholine, glutamate, substance P and norepinephrine would be ones I would consider main.

I see the article has changed since I posted it. Some pictures are added.
The six regions according to the author: the telencephalon (cerebral hemispheres), diencephalon (thalamus and hypothalamus), mesencephalon (midbrain), cerebellum, pons, and medulla oblongata.

Gotcha.  It's kind of like anything else, depends on how you look at it and divide it.

Is it an (medicallly) accepted division. I can show you 3, 4 an 20 part divisions I made up myself.....
The point is did the man really find something? Or did he write down the answer and then started  finding 'proof'?

Not missed. Ignored  :pointlaugh:

For me it depends a bit on Shawns answer. We can all be happy about this thread but what use is it if medical science totally disagrees with everything that man wrote about the layout of the brain.
What's the use of finding parallels with made up science....

I would say that the 6 steps he has broken down is a correct way, but not necessarily the "right" way.  In a functional manner these are appropriate.  There are definitely other ways to classify the regions of the brain.  This guy isn't just making this up, its just that its not a hard and fast rule.

As for the color, I guess you could say its goldish  (although I'm not sure when its alive).  The ivory underneath speaks to the white matter which is under the gray matter (which is what is supposed to look gold).  Although if you look at pictures of the brain with the meninges (minus the dura) attached its a opalescent color, which makes it shine, and looks like what I imagine "clear" gold might look like.

I'm a chiropractor fyi

Quote from: wwSomehow I think those six areas must have a spiritual counterpart.
So we need a list with the functions of teh 6 areas and need to match that with some Biblical teaching. That would be a real throne teaser :JCThink:
Anyone?

It's hard to say.  Like red stated and as with many things in medicine there really isn't hard fast rules with some types of division.  The division he speaks about is acceptable.  I don't see an error.  When classifying "main" there will always be those who disagree.
