And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them: Fear not: for behold, I bring you GOOD TIDINGS of GREAT JOY, which shall be to ALL PEOPLE. For unto you is BORN this day in the city of David a SAVIOR, which is CHRIST the Lord. Luke 2:8-11

GIVING GLORY TO GOD
... a special feature of God's remnant that they be stripped of the glory of the flesh, and find their glory in Christ, as it is written, "he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord." 1 Cor 1:31
As the transition is made, from seeking our own glory, to begin seeking Christ, and His righteousness, then it is that we also desire to bring glory to His name. Yet, how does one give glory to God?
...
Herein is the beginning of our giving glory to God: when we are brought by the Holy Spirit to the point we confess our guilt and sin, and in true repentance seek His forgiveness. This exalts Him to the place of being our SAVIOR, and magnifies His grace... out of a sincere confession to Him, is giving glory to God.... to walk a path of humility is to give glory to God.
"Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name. WORSHIP the Lord in the beauty of holiness." Ps 29:2. The Hebrew word for 'worship' means: to bow self down. ... it is more than a physical posture; it is AN ATTITUDE OF THE HEART, as we come before Him to offer our worship and praise.
LET THE WHOLE WORLD GLORIFY THE LORD, LET ALL SING HIS PRAISE. Isaiah 42:12 (NLT)

It seems to me that in this devotional, Ray Prinzing describes what it is to worship God in spirit and in truth.
Lovely ! :HeartThrob:
as Isaiah preached it .
Isa 61:1 ¶ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me;
because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all that mourn;
Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion,
to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning,
the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
that they might be called trees of righteousness,
the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Re: ... that he might be glorified.
1 Peter 4:11
If anyone speaks, it should be as one who speaks God's words; if anyone serves, it should be from the strength God provides, so that GOD MAY BE GLORIFIED THROUGH JESUS CHRIST IN EVERYTHING. To Him belong the glory and power forever and ever. Amen.
Isn't God gracious... gives us a love for His Word and then provides opportunities to speak those words thereby glorifying Him!!!

Tis the night before Christmas and a fair night it was and is still. Father has blessed us with so many gifts and none more important than His Son Jesus Christ and the LOVE He showed us.
We are blessed in so many ways. Even today, Father blessed me by lifting a huge weight off of my shoulders. It was like I was stranded at sea for months, years even, when out of no where a life line from a passing ocean liner was thrown to me. This is all Father :HeartThrob: and I am so grateful.
It is so easy feeling lost and alone, and as hard (scratch that) easy as Father makes it to Trust Him, one need never feel alone ever again. Being Human is possibly the hardest job of all. Just look at a faithful dog when it lays eyes or hears the ones it loves enter a room, is this not the same gleeful Love that Father seeks from each of us? Of course it is, for we should all giggle like little children out of pure joy when we feel Fathers hand upon us. A hand that lift's us up, urges us forward and holds us back as needed. Father Love us more than we love our precious dog, but do we greet him with the same enthusiasm as our dogs greet us?
Gosh it is hard isn't it, but what greater love is there than the love of a faithful pet: a dog or a horse even.
Father is with us always, his touch is always ready to be felt. To glorify Him in the Highest manner possible, is to just slow down long enough to feel Him and Smile because you know He is right there with you. Father will change your life, and nothing will ever be the same again. What is real and what is not will take on a whole new meaning; just never forget to Thank Father for the Love you now have for everything.
Wishing you a wonderful and joyous Christmas to the highest honor of Father.

you know...there are analogy's in the scriptures..about men without understanding being as
beasts[animals] the Holy spirit showed Peter in the vision of the sheet...that many men
have lacked understanding[man without understanding is as as the beast] freindship
requires communion/understanding[eye to eye/face to face]
can and does His spirit move such...yes! they can be very useful unto the Lord!
years ago..as He was bringing me out of Babylon...He gave me dream/vision........an angel
came and took me to show me it...
He showed me a small kitten...that was walking through the barnlot because it had
heard it's master's voice in the barn......a very territorial black stallion was also in the lot
prancing around,snorting...offended of the 'kitten's presence' evidently the stallion was
territorial.
for expiendency's sake......the stallion was brought up against the kitten to 'crush' it under
it's hooves..in the barn...but a very loud voice said 'DON"T YOU DO IT!" and the stallion fell
at the rebuke.
you see...a cat can also be very useful in a barn to it's Master...birds/mice/snakes can
cause a lot of damage.....
.....it reminds me of partial understanding in all the churches...some 'horses' like to crush
" kittens."..both lack understanding. The Black horse[judging without discernment/proud flesh/
prideful.] crushing a weak helpless kitten.
you can learn alot from a tour of the barnlot!
I was show 'hens' nesting on bales of hay/fouling it with their droppings.......hens belong in
the henhouse.
'I" was the kitten in the scenario...and the very legalistic religious organization was the
stallion.....it would seem we all have to get past such on our way to the barn.........
the LORD REBUKE THEE SATAN! our accusors He must rebuke....He has,He does,He will.
