Title: Genesis 1:1
Post by: jugghead on April 23, 2017, 08:17:49 PM
I would like to start this thread with an understanding that many may not see or understand, but it is something that I have been shown and would like to share. Since words can be understood as a representation of something else, I would like to start with Genesis 1:1.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1). In the idea that within all physical examples are hidden spiritual meanings, seeing this verse in the big picture can be understood as "the end declared at the beginning" (Isaiah 46:10). What I mean by that is that the heavens are a representation of the minds of men and the earth is a representation of the heart of God. Not that the Father created His heart but that He created a word (created "a" word not "thee" word since Christ has always existed) that described His heart, that word being Christ, for Christ is the perfect representation of the heart of the Father; and our mind, like a seed has to be planted in the heart of God, has to be planted in Christ, which also describes ..... that a seed (a mind) must first fall to the ground (be humbled) and die (of pride in its understanding) before it can start to grow (increase) in His garden (His kingdom).

The big picture is, since understanding is of the mind and desire is of the heart, we can see that all understandings will have one desire, in other words the understanding of all men will have the one desire of the Father, that desire being to love one another as the Father loves us.

Also, seeing "the end" declared from "the beginning", and if Christ IS "the beginning" and Christ is "the end" does it not stand to reason that Christ is declared from Christ, not from men?

I learned from another that if one thing is added to another it will change what you are looking at, just like adding food coloring to water you now have two things becoming one and you are now looking at colored water, something different than what you started with. With that in mind, let it fall to the ground and be planted in the heart that also in this verse when we see "in the beginning" we are seeing "in Christ" for He is "the beginning". So we can now see something different which is going into the depths of His understanding with "In Christ, God created the minds and heart" but now it can be understood as the word "minds" becoming individuals (plural) but the word "heart" or "earth" still remains singular which is now seeing that we have many individuals of one heart.

ALL His work and plan.
" Before the world began, I knew you."
" Each in their own appointed time."
Seems a pretty detailed, specific plan.
Coming to the "oneness", "unity" of the faith of Christ.

Legion says 'we are many" Christ says..'The Father and I are ONE..and prays that those that believe be ONE" one mind/at-one-ment

One heart/LOVE.....just spirits made perfect=LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING......ONE WITH GOD AND EACH OTHER.

Another way of explaining "the finished work of Christ" which is the same truth as "the end", because our end is to be His image

Again, another way of explaining "the finished work of Christ" and to make sure of my meaning, when I said "many individuals of one heart", I should have said " one people of one heart" ..... If there is one thing I learned it is that our choice of words can cause confusion

I know you were not trying to correct me sheila, you were just expanding on what I said to make it clearly understood

Before I go any further, I would like to ask a question, Has God ever felt empty? What I mean by that is in the context of having no one to share Himself with.

When Sherry was brought home, I felt empty because of losing someone I could share my every thought with, and when I said I was no longer going to post, I would get the feeling of emptiness because I no longer shared with you guys. I always had Him to share with, to speak my every thought, but even that, are not my thoughts His thoughts because I am not my own?

Was I not just a thought in the mind of the Father before anything physical was ever created? Have I not always been because He has always been?

Has God known darkness because He did not have another to share Himself with? Did He say, "It is not good for man to be alone" because He Himself experienced it?

I kind of lean toward thinking He has always been most joyful! Always the Happy God! Complete and wonderful always..

many individuals of one heart.

I love that!! I'm not sure if we existed always as a thought of God.. though of course it may be very possible, maybe even likely.. I think He communicates with each one of us, as He will..

To me, it would seem true that before ever creating "physis" the physical, that He could see all possibilities.. And has done all things just as He has in order to bring about the very best of all possibilities.. that in the 'end'/the finished product, "the lion will eat straw like the ox" and yes, love will be the ruling force.. :cloud9: :cloud9:

I believe so. :2c:   His very reason for creating a family..He needs and desires our love and companionship. I don't know that we

can fully understand all that He is[all His millennia of being all there is/His loneliness etc] rather we can only relate to Him with and

through what He has enabled us to grasp and understand of Him.

with maturity,I believe we will all be a great comfort and solace to Him..surround Him with love, affection, respect ,appreciation and

companionship.  There's great purpose in the work of His hands in the creation of all He has made and is making..His patience and

preparations made aforehand[kingdom prepared] as He lays down His life[substance] that we may all live and share life with Him

as He takes His life back up again.......He rewards Himself with our love and affection[children are a blessing] He B-less[es] of Himself

to share Himself with us....[since there is nothing but God...and all that is must necessarily be created of his own substance.

He has made himself the servant of all...and still all serves Him. We are all in this togather with Him.. the good the bad

and the ugly..to love and accept everything that he is.[even though we may perhaps pray for 'this cup' to be removed] Until

perfection[in His eyes/heart]is attained.then in my opionion the real true living will commence!!  Going through hard times togather

strengthens bonds..and He is knitting our hearts unto His in love[bosom position]

Thank you for those words sheila ..... it has been quite awhile since spoken words have touched my heart as deeply as yours did .... especially when you spoke the words that I highlighted ..... it stirred the Spirit in me and brought tears of joy to me ..... it is what gives our lives purpose as well as His purpose for us .....

bless you

For thus says the LORD,
"Behold, I am slinging out the inhabitants of the land
            At this time,
            And will cause them distress,
            That they may be found."

19Woe is me, because of my injury!
            My wound is incurable.
But I said, "Truly this is a sickness,
            And I must bear it."

      20My tent is destroyed,
            And all my ropes are broken;
My sons have gone from me and are no more.
There is no one to stretch out my tent again
Or to set up my curtains. Jer 10

"Then those of you who escape will remember Me among the nations to which they will be carried captive, how I have been hurt by their adulterous hearts which turned away from Me, and by their eyes which played the harlot after their idols; and they will loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed, for all their abominations. Eze 6

Once when He took me into deep intercession for the body at large, He let me feel His loneliness at not having other mature sons yet with Him to share His glory with. It broke my heart. Blessings...

I sometimes render Genesis 1:1 like so:

In the beginning [time] God [Spirit] created [energy] the heaven [space] and the earth [matter].

It can also be rendered this way...in the firstfruits, God created the new heaven (mind of Christ) and the new earth (glorified body). Peace

I agree more along the lines of cardinal ..... here is why ...

If the Bible is the word
AND
the Word is Christ
AND
Christ is the physical manifestation of the word

Then this verse is about Christ and not the universe and what's in it

Because another way to view this is "the heaven" is in reference to Christ (the Messiah/Savior/Spirit) and "the earth" is in reference to Jesus (the body without sin/flesh)

Not that Christ Himself (Spirit) was created but that His "the title" (one of many) was created as the Messiah/Savior before the foundation of the world because the Father knew what would happen with mankind ..... and that is because their is no reason for a Messiah/Savior if mankind does not exist to be saved

Some thing He showed me (which some may believe and some not) is that verse 1 is the big picture and then days 1 through seven and finer details of the bigger picture

The reason is, the word "created" has two numbers associated with it, one is in parentheses and it is this word in which part of the definition is "in the sense of appearing" which can be understood as "made manifest" or "made known"

Luke 2:11-12 is the bigger picture, that which is made known to men

If we can open our mind to all possibilities that this verse is about Christ then Genesis 1:1 is the prophecy of that which is to come

In the beginning God made known the heaven (Christ/Savior) and the earth (Jesus/body)

In Luke 2:11 what is made known is the Savior which is Christ the Lord ..... and then in ....

2:12 the word "babe" is a reference to Jesus, the body that Christ would inhabit

Then with the seven days giving more details, day one is Luke 2:11 "Let there be light" , good tidings of great joy is "the light" and the separation of light from the darkness is that when Jesus (body) is born it is set apart from that which is of men because man's body is of sin whereas Christ's body is not

Day one is all about Jesus Christ growing up as a child .... set apart from men (light separated from darkness)

Day two is all about His ministry ..... that which is of men (below) and that which is of God (above)

Day three is "Let the dry appear" which is more details of His ministry in that "the dry" is death and "the water" is life
Which is a repeat (a folding over) of day one ... a separation of dry and wet
And that also in His finished work on the cross it is a separation of spirit and flesh

If there was one thing that God spoke through Scherryl while she was still here..... is that His Word is ALL about Christ .... we have to see HIS "life" in all of it, we have to see HIS "finished work" in all of it

In the beginning was the word and the word was God. Alpha and Omega.

There are many views on that first verse.
Mine is that it is the very first creation day.
Creation took 8 days including the Sabbath.
You can spot that if you read Gen 1 and Gen 2 very carefully.
God was resting from creation on the 7th day but He was also still creating on the 7th day.

It's a little calendar mystery. :LH:
a] 7th day of the week.
b] 7th day of the month, which is the 6th day of the week.

Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains alone, but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

That is the essence of the Alpha and the Omega. Jesus was the grain of wheat. He died and has and will continue to produce much fruit, until the day He will reign over death and all of us will bow to our Savior.  We, too, must learn from Him and be the fruits of His love and His death. We must die to self, so we can bear much fruit, in His name.

We will all be back in 'the Garden' again, and this time, no need for the tree of Good and Evil. We all will have tasted both and found the Good. We will all be the 'fruit' of God's goodness and love and forgiveness towards us.

The cycle will one day be complete. No more death or evil. All will be transformed into the bread of life.

What an awesome God we serve!

Beautiful post!

Jesus also used this illustration: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough." Mt 13

Also perhaps three measures for 3 eons. From Christ crucified to Christ's return(Holy of holies open to the ecclesia). The aion from Christ's return to the second resurrection(holy of holies open to the the nations). The aion of the the great white throne to the last adversary's subjection and God becoming "all in all"(holy of holies opened to the adversaries of the ages).
