Title: Every Knee Shall Bow
Post by: guest5685 on January 22, 2016, 09:35:02 PM

:idea2: :idea2: :idea2: I thought I'd share this little bit about knees. We are told to gird up the loins of our mind so if we have loins in our mind we know those are not our physical bodies reproductive organs. I believe we have knees in our mind as well and those are our unrighteous thoughts contrary to the truth. Those THOUGHTS are the "Every Knee" that shall bow I believe he is speaking about.

Since I was raised as a Catholic kid we did lots of knee bowing but it never change me but one day my loins shook and my spiritual knees began to bow and things changed. As time goes bye I notice I've got more knees than I thought I had and they are bowing as he opens my eyes. :dsunny:

When the Lord's dealing with me about something, i've had an inner sense for awhile that rather than physically bowing (which of course is OK,when out of the heart and not just out of traditional religious compulsion) that my "knees" were in my "heart".  I.e., my will, my innermost being.  "A matter of the heart and will".

Great posting   Thank you !!

I love a lot of what Paul shared  is found In Isaiah  45   , about the potter and the clay and also the  knee bowing   and  tongue confessing the Lord  Jesus  Christ
  what      a    delight !!

I love that all enemies shall be put under His feet , is  teaching  as well as taking the thoughts ''captive ''   to Christ ....

Paul mentions this in 2 Corh 13   2 I ask that when I am present I need not show boldness by daring to oppose those who think we are acting according to human standards.

3 Indeed, we live as human beings, but we do not wage war according to human standards;

4 for the weapons of our warfare are not merely human,

but they have divine power to destroy strongholds.

We destroy arguments  and every proud obstacle raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ.

6 We are ready to punish every disobedience when your obedience is complete.
making an example of ....  I say this is pricking your conscience   right? so we will keep it clean and ready     for the Lord 's presence ,   a willingness  is  obedience or   a compliance with an order, request, or law or submission to another's authority.

7 Look at what is before your eyes. If you are confident that you belong to Christ, remind yourself of this, that just as you belong to Christ, so also do we.

8 Now, even if I boast a little too much of our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for tearing you down, I will not be ashamed of it.

I do enjoy reading the Word of God , but it was so hard to read it    with human  standards and the fear it would invoke ,,,

I could not even begin to  understand those parables   ..
I recall a brother    years ago   whom helped me    called Loxoco     who said the mind of a beast  fears the fire of God , where as the children   delight in His fire and Light
It gave new meaning to   being on fire for God ,  the Holy Spirit & fire    message ,  and the Lord wants us hot or cold ,   those hearts burning   within     scriptures    warms the hearts in Love for God ..

I love it that it is the Holy Spirit teaching us     the TRUTH       and what a  difference it has made , Praise God !!!

Great thread everyone, thanks for starting it He1!

This verse is near and dear to my heart because I believe God showed me this verse when I was wrestling with whether hell was real or not and I cried out to God (in my mind) in prayer to show me if universal salvation was true.

Great insights about reading the Word, Rose--how the carnal mind fears God but his children delight in his fire and light!

The bible is truly amazing, how it is like a mirror and how as you get closer to God He reveals more to you in the Word...people can read he same passage and get completely different understandings based on where they are spiritually.

Always good stuff here on TM lately!

What we tell our body to do, does not necessarily affect our mind, and even less so our spirit, often.

When it comes to bowing to God, it must be felt and believed in the Spirit.

...4Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?" 5Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit....  John 3:5

So, I think you hit the nail on the proverbial head.

I know I sin but my knees bow to the Lord because His blood covers my sins..I repent of my sins..if I fall again He will lift me up, put me back on my feet...one day every knee will bow in repentance and adoration as His word says and as He sware by Himself in Isaiah 45.

Wow , love to all  for sharing   the hearts hidden treasures  !!!  all from the Lord   Himself  , He is building His temple with His  HOLY  SPIRIT   in you   :HeartThrob:

Matt 6   Treasures in Heaven :HeartThrob:
...20"But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,

where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;

21for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

I find it beautiful that the heart and heaven   have a direct connection here,  in Jesus words of Life ...

Love  Isaiah 45    Daryll       so much more meaning every time and season  in our   learning     Godislove !!

Thanks He1myheart for this thread ....  thinking of the body parts and how they have   so   much   more meaning  spiritually applied  than ever before     and we all grow in truth and grace ...

So  as  to cutting off    or keeping them pure  in the 4 gospels     and how Paul expounds on the   ''Temple Building'' up the  BODY OF CHRIST    as to LIFTING HIM UP    that all men will be drawn to HIM

I thank God    that the Holy Spirit never gave up on me   , there were times when I just did not   want to know anything ...   those run off and hide   times  :sigh:

But the   Good shepherd always goes to looking for that one lost sheep , cause   we do belong to Him  :dsunny: and for that I am  forever  grateful  for all His loving concern for everyone     and desire to be just like him and be  lovingly    concerned for everyone     everywhere ....
Till God be all in ALL ... :HeartThrob:

Rosered---Speaking of those run off and hide times I can say I've had way too many of them myself. Many times in my walk I had wished I had stayed ignorant of the spiritual things except for just believing God was really real and I was loved. That was my walk in the beginning but then I got immersed in the hell of legalism and that is definitely a baptism of fire. :flamebreath:  I reckon it helped me fall enough to believe in GRACE. So it served it's purpose that I couldn't get good enough in the flesh to earn His Favor..but I didn't give up to easy...being a Prideful Control Freak :sigh:  is not a curse I'd wish on anyone! LOL  :laughing7:

LOVE YOU BROTHER !!! :HeartThrob:    Really can respect your honesty    and pure heart for God   :HeartThrob:
none of us are to far off  from that reality  in truth       :dsunny:

pride and stumbling and the  way of an ass   ha ha    that was me alright .

I recall saying Lord , It is true  everyone is against me because of you ,,   guess it is ''just us  now  '' and was so sad and broken   .. :sigh:

I know so silly and baby like   ,   but  in reality  i was being ISHMAEL  !!

Gen 16 And he shall be as a wild ass among men; his hand'shall be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell over against all his brethren.
OPPOSITE OF WHAT JESUS teaches us to love one another .....    I was sooo carnal still  and struggling in my own blood ..
my pushing religion down everyone's throat  ,  drove off friends   and family    even my husband wanted a divorce !!   on every side     it was utter    defeat   and loss

and yet I am l thinking  ,'' I was right in all this mess  ''  lol :laughing7:

I still talked to Jesus and yet    THE LORD must have thought  you foolish  thing   ha ha    force gets you  no where , but a little Love goes a long  long way

My hubby told me this once it  stuck  like glue   to this DAY  , bright and positive  DAY in the LORD   !

GOD BLESS  :friendstu:
