did we create fear?

...when adam and eve hid,God asked who told you?
my reasoning is...they created the fear in their own minds and spoke it.
if we we're not to speak fear but only blessing ,wouldn't the blessing overtake us instead of the fear?
maybe we only live in fear because we created it for ourselves,
ever notice how certain things happen to the same people on a regular basis?...maybe its the words they speak and the expectation in their hearts!
'choose you this day ,whom you will serve'

They eat from the tree of knowledge (of good and evil).
Before they where not aware of evil.
No evil = no fear.

Just a thought
:Yeahright:
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

hi ww
if fear(evil) came about after eating...wouldn't this hold true for the 'good' as well?
or could it be now that.... they had to choose which one they wanted to focus on.And which ever one they focused on would manifest?

Darkness is the absense of light.
Good is the absense of evil..... ???

OTOH generally speaking not knowing about something (evil in this case) doesn't make it go away.
Perhaps God restrained all evil until that point?

The part in Eden is far to short to draw conclusions. But the things I know of Eden are on happy/good things.
That's why I think there was no evil (besides the snake) in Eden.
If there was evil in Eden before eating the fruit I think Adam and Eve would already have known what fear is.

The snake climbed over the fence.

1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

--John 10

John 10:7
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

:cloud9: I don't think they created it, but it was definitely in them from the beginning, as He said man is bondage to fear (the fear of dying to self and/or dying) all of his days. Blessings...

hi cardinal
...would they have released it?lusting, conceiving ,become sin, then death?
...they chose to create something, that wasn't manifested yet?

Cardinal

:cloud9: I don't know, but that's a good point to think about. I can see it being a reality either way. Yea, something new to meditate on!  Blessings....

Death is the fruit of man, not God.

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree of the garden,  17 but you must not eat  from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for on the day you eat from it, you will certainly die."

--Gen 2

Man is tricked into producing that fruit by satan's lies.

4 "No! You will not die," the serpent said to the woman.

--Gen 3

...by man came death...

onlytruth

hi molly
...death is the fruit of man...would fear be as well?
I'm trying to grasp "if it all has been done for us on the cross"...then we must be making up our own 'fear' realms on a regular basis.
so is it a figment of our own imagination?and we are creating our own atmospheres?

God never told Adam and Eve anything about the snake like he did about the trees
in the garden, so since God did not intervene and confront the snake in the garden, God already knew what the snake was going to do, this was all part of Gods predestined plan for the begining of mans journey, the snake had free range of  the Garden until tempting mankind to eating from the TOKOGAE, Eve was not afraid/ fearful when approached by the snake, Adam/Eve were not in fear of God before they ate from the TOKOGAE, so after this they were afraid and the fear and guilt begin its work, they were afraid and hid from God, when God asked them what they had done (God already knew) the guilt went to work and the blame game started, Eve blamed the Snake and Adam blamed Eve.

If in this life only we have hope in Christ we are of all men most miserable.

:cloud9: That's true. The snake was IN the TOKOGAE, typified by the table of shewbread/letter of the Word. Think about it; like Paul said, we knew not sin until the LAW came. Blessings.....
