Title: Daniel 9.27
Post by: Nancy on January 20, 2021, 03:08:28 AM
Hi there all,
I want to know what you think to my thoughts on this passage in Daniel. I think that the He in this passage is referring to Jesus and not the AC. He will confirm the covenant with many for 7 years. In the midst of the 7 years, He will put an end to sacrifices. I believe that Jesus was the One who stopped the sacrifices with His death, as He was the perfect sacrifice.  Therefore if this is so, then what need have the Israelis to build a third temple, if the AC doesn't have to confirm a covenant, or stop any sacrifices? Now that we are the temple of God, where is the AC going to go into to show that he is God?

Most Jewish people don’t believe Jesus is the Messiah, let alone the son of God, or even a prophet. Many of them are still waiting for their future Messiah and don?t believe it to be Jesus of Nazareth as their Messiah.

Also, not all Jews believe in building a third temple, though a lot still do.

Judaism is not monolithic either, meaning there are many variants and offshoots of it

The Antichrist is another, complex matter entirely. He could be a symbol, a historical figure like Roman emperor Nero, a future savior/messiah claimant, someone who denies Jesus, humanity, or a combination, or all of the above.

I’m not much of a believer though, so this is just my 2 cents.

Hi Nancy,

I agree with you both to a certain degree. I think it is possible that the antichrist has already been. As someone said in another post, in aniother topic, "there have been many antichrist".  Whose to say that the antichrist that most are looking for hasn't already existed? Nancy, I have wondered the same thing that you do about all of this.
