Sometime when I tell a damnationist how my concept of god (victorious gospel) is better then concept of god (damnaiton gospel) they will I just hate god and so therefore I reject him and just create my own god that fits my criteria.

Usually that means you're on the right track.

Seriously it's something most of us have heard. Rejoice when men say all manner of evil things about you for the Truth's sake.  :cloud9:

Peace and blessings to you bro.  :HeartThrob:

Of course, what God is, is far above any of our concepts about Him.  That being said, the Victorious Gospel puts a much better foundation under our understanding of our Heavenly Father.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

That's because they had created their own God which is partial and selfish, two things that God has never been and never will be because God is not a man that He should change  :2c:
Micah 7:7

But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

John 15:5

I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Well, you can tell them that if that is true, then you have somehow conceived of an idol that is more powerful, more loving, and is much more wise than the "one true God", a God that can actually accomplish His own will.
and you somehow accomplished all of this using scripture. How impressive is that??!! :laughing7:

This is encouraging.  I have to keep remembering this, and keep my eyes on Jesus.  If I start looking at myself, then I get all worried about how others are going to react to me and what they will think of me.

I've had the whole "You are creating your own idol" Etc said to me.
At first it did really get to me, but now I know better to try box God in to something man thinks he can comprehend and dictate.
