Just a short while ago was the actual time of the Feast of Tabernacles by the Hebrew calendar.

I was studying with a friend regarding it, and part of our study is on the symbolisms involved.

Well, I got to reading on the 'booths' and how the structures were made, and about the branches and how they were shaken to glorify God, making a sweet sound for cheering and praising.

So.... :mblush:.....Nanook (my dog) and I were out and about on our walk, and we came across some ancient Willow trees (which were a substitute branch in times of need), and well, my child like nature sprung forth inside, (or was it the Holy Spirit?), and I tugged a few branches.  The tree gave them up readily, no pulling, no cutting, and so I came out of the meeting with about five branches. 

So... :mblush:...here are Nan and I walkind along in the moonlight, shaking these branches, and singing (not too loudly) (actually it was just me singing, cos he only howls) praises to God.  (Day by Day) As we walked along the sound of the branches made that rich jingling sound, natural to leaves.  AND...we walked past the high school were a football game was going on, the band played, the cheerleaders cheered and waved their.."pom poms'....and I realized I was waving what was probably the very first 'pom pom' of all time....

GOD is awesome!
GOD is good!
He is the same, yesterday, today, and tomorrow !!

my old Church actually keep those days NOW..so did I....but they all symbolize HIM..

they still await that DAY of TRUMPETS....then they are off to Petra, where they have all their trasures stored as its the PLACE of safety when the Tribulation Comes....

Is Nanook a sled dog breed?

Taffy...I just winged it...I was moved.  I like it like that, it feels pure.  I was just thrilled to get the connection...because they sounded just like pom poms !  I wasn't in it for the ritual.  I used to practice all kinds of rituals, over time they became unfounded because of communion in the Holy Spirit with God.  However, I think of the gestures at times like a means of communication if its not taken to extremes with expectations.  I love symbolism.  There is more than meets the eye in the voice of God when it comes to symbolisms, and they transcend cultures. 

In fact the shelters/or booths if created with willow branches, can be associated very closely to some sweat lodges for native american ceremonial prayers. 

God has his hand on us all...and I find in symbolisms there is a language that many people can share, while specific languages are difficult to adapt to.  For instance I have witnessed arguements over Hebrew, Greek, Arabaic...Aramaic....and then French, English, Spanish, Chinese.  All these languages I doubt I would ever be able to wrap my mind around, and it sometimes makes me feel inadequate to share the Holy Spirit verbally, but I know, I can use symbols and make a bridge. 





Yep, hopeful, Nan is a Malamute.  Hybrid-wolf breed.  But you couldn't get him to pull a sled, lol.  He'd just look at you funny.  I call him "Benjamin" at times...because biblically Benjamin is a wolf..(symbolically described)....and I think of how the wolf will dine with the lamb...

He's a magnet...and draws praises to God.  Its awesome.  I get to witness every time someone asks about him because of how he came to me.

Anyway....God is good.

When one of my sons was still at home, he had a dog that was a Husky/ Malamute mix.  His name was Dakota and he sure could run!  And run he did- away- all the time!  He was a beautiful dog.  He was a magnet, too.  My son was often offered money for him.  I miss him.  The dog- not the boy.   :gsmile:  Not really.  I miss the boy too- sometimes...   :ghaha:  Sorry.  There's some things you just have to have a sense of humor about or you won't make it through!   :HeartThrob:

yeppers...:)....i studied polar bear for years...it's sad to say that there is an expected exstinction of the great white bear by 2050... :search:...I made up a book of facts and photos for my grandkids someday to read.  In it is an article from National Geographic showing  a polar bear playing with a huskie...amazing.  Such a powerful creature..and so full of the desire to 'play'.

 :cloud9: Well, I think it was the Spirit GF leading you to do in the natural what He is doing in the Spirit......after all those leaves/coverings are for the healing of the nations. Pray ye one for another that ye (the two) might be made whole (one).

Partaking of the Christ that has been formed in each one in the Spiritual fulfillment of the feast of TABERNACLES, leads to wholeness, ie. the 12 baskets of FRAGMENTS lifted up (made one thru the mind of Christ). Blessings to you from one tree to another  :winkgrin:
