I don't get involved with any organized religions, so I really don't know what's out there as far as UR. What exactly is Unitarian Universalism? Does anyone have specifics? I looked on the net, but I can't seem to find anything concrete. Thanks.
There were 2 UR groups that combined several decades ago, and became UUA. Over the years, they have become an extremely "liberal", IMO, apostate organization. You can believe anything or nothing, and be "in good standing - doesn't matter, God's a good guy, all roads lead to Him". Quick [sort of tongue-in-cheek] summary - "atheist? satanist? do you want to preach in this morning's service?". :doh:

Yikes! That doesn't sound too good. That sounds like inclusion (or whatever it's called). I think Jesus telling His followers they are the
"salt" of the earth had many meanings - including being sprinkled and scattered like salt. It seems when organizations form, things go downhill. The desire to achieve resonance with God's Spirit should still be the goal, even though He will save everyone eventually.

funny you mention pearson's doctrine of inclusion - i thought of that after i'd posted what i did. yep, I believe you're right. God cares, but God also cares (obedience, overcoming through His grace, help, and power, etc. are important to Him - growing into maturity as sons, etc.).
