Saints, I just can not get this out of my mind:

While we in the West thought the woman in the Revelation fled into the Wilderness, and that Wilderness was the Americas, Old Believers in Russia were fleeing into another Wilderness, and a much more challenging one - Siberia. We forget the trials and tribulations of the Orthodox side of Christianity, especially the history of the Assyrian Orthodox Church, the true Eastern Church, which is almost unknown in the West.
I think of those verses, Hebrews 11:37-38 "...they were stoned, they were cut apart with saws, they were tempted and were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being in want, afflicted, tormented (of whom the world was not worthy). They wandered in deserts and in mountains and in dens and caves of the earth."

Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
Psalm 139:7-10
