Title: Aionian Bible
Post by: Lazarus Short on October 17, 2019, 01:56:25 PM
They call it an "untranslation" - it looks like it is honest and correct about the time factor, everlasting versus age by age.  Have a look:

It sounds good - http://www.aionianbible.org/Preface

..even though I disagree with the idea of "hades as a place of temporary punishment" but view it as the same as sheol, which I view as the grave where their is no knowledge, thought, nor doing according to Eccles.9:5 & 10; and John 5:28-29 —> "All in the graves will hear His voice and will - come forth" (from them) ..some in the resurrection of life" - at the Lord's return - "and some in the resurrection of judgment" (of kolazo/correction, the Greek of - 2 Peter 2:9) The two resurrections of course, of Rev.20.

But the translation looks much better than most! :gsmile:

(2 Thess.1:8, according to the Greek, seems to say punishment is full and complete, when the Lord returns in fiery flames, verse 7, which makes me also think lake of fire is earthly/thermonuclear - such TN winter being portrayed in Rev. and the prophets.. also made mention of at the final defeat of the adversary; then "at the end" when Jesus hands all things (subdued) to the Father who is a consuming/purifying fire and "all" things are made new, and then the Father Himself shall dwell ("tabernacle") w/ mankind upon Earth made new in kosmos made new.

2 Peter 3:10-13 being like bookends of the Lord's long second advent from Trumpets (of Rev. & His return at the last one) to Tabernacles.. with DOA in between.. (for the initially doa, Rev.20 - 'day' of judgment).

But I've strayed a bit!  Great link!! :Peace2:
