I must admit, when I first considered the idea, I wrote it off pretty quickly. However, the more I thought about it, it really does fit like a glove with Revelation 13, and deserves some more in-depth thought and prayer in my opinion.

It's not so much the bible IS the IMAGE itself that is worshipped (i.e. - - the IMAGE of the beast - the beast is the carnal, natural flesh man - the image of man = the image of the beast - as in 'man creating God in his own IMAGE.') But the bible is the "mark" - of a 'true believer' - and is also used to promote the fear doctrines of eternal torment, annihilation, etc. In times past, it was used to conquer and kill perhaps millions 'supposedly' in the name of God

The word image is disputed.
God created man in His image. Many are taught that means men look like God. Or have spirit, body and soul.
The other interpretation is that image is "imager" or "representative". Obviously that failed very early in Genesis. Jesus was a true image of God.
