Remind me again about this prophecy does the building of the 3rd temple mean anything?

Hi mp.........I think it is man's speculation of Jesus prophecy of the abomination of
desolation....standing in the holy place. they reckon the temple and temple mount
as the holy place...having never received the holy spirit in their vessels and knowing the
body of the beleiver is the temple where His spirit dwells.
In Proverbs 6;16 the abomination of desolation is shown, imo
haughty eyes[arrogance and pride]..lying tougne[deceivers]..hands that shed innocent blood
[murders] heart that devizes wicked schemes[vengefulness] feet that are quick to rush to evil
a false wittness who pours out lies, and a man who stirs up dissension among brother's
the above scriptures shows the true temple of the Lord..and the abomination spirit
in it...it is a far cry from the spirit of truth, peace, righteousness, love, humility,
forgiveness, mercy and concord. and we know it shall be desolated..and a stone will not
remain on a stone.......thus the fall of Babylon...and the stone not cut out by human hands
growing into a great mountain that fills the earth.......Jesus Christ the foundation stone
of love and humility..and He will raise it up...He will build..and the gates of hell will not
prevail. it is this temple[body] that people will behold the glory of the Lord's return in.
a Mountain of love must rise up in this earth...and sweep away the false religious
worship as chaff[the same spirit presently behind all the fighting dissension and killing
going on right now in Jerusalem]
so any religious 'temple' or human body/man who has this abomination in him can expect
desolation.......that the true foundation stone[Christ the Lord......a rock not cut out by
human hands..may be placed.
that's how I see it,mp.
Surely there are plans for a real 3rd Temple and possibly/likely that's what the Bible is talking about.
But Jesus said His body was a Temple too. So the 3rd Temple could also be a indwelled human body.
But if the human body counts as a Temple, why didn't the portable temple (tent) of Moses count as such?
2 Cor 5:1 For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
All that said everything has 4 levels so one doesn't exclude the other.
I think 'booths' count as the tents....go up to the Mountain of the Lrd that He may teach us
His ways.........
booth=sukkoth which mean temporary shelter.
I think it's a reference to the resurrection on the 8th day (permanent shelter)
I actually believe that the human body as a temple is the heavenly thing that the OT temple foreshadowed. A first thought, it seems that the human body as a temple is is an earthly thing, but I don't believe so. Wherever God is, there also is heaven. Jesus said that no man has ascended to heaven but the son of man who IS in heaven, and that is because he is in the Spirit. That is why we have been made to sit down in heavenly places, even though we are in the flesh.
It goes back to what Paul said that "ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit if the Spirit of God dwells in you."
If they have plans to build a 3rd temple in Jerusalem, I don't believe that is the temple prophesied in scripture. I believe the new temple is in New Jerusalem and that the body of Christ is IN New Jerusalem.
yes, Paul talked about ..if the earthly tent of mine be dissolved...... thusI see the
dwelling in booths...and the let us go up to the house/Mountain of the Lord...as the permanent
dwelling place..of the spirit...of which the bride is caught away by the spirit into this.....
Just as the Groom lay down His life for the betrothed......the betrothed lay's down her life
in childbirth[ manchild of Rev 12 birthed before she travailed..the 8th day is the circumcision
of the manchild[cutting away of flesh, circumcision of heart/resurrection] the son remains in
the house forever or permanatly-or go in and no more come out of the Holy city Jerusalem
above.......
I shall make a new thing inthe earth...a mere woman shall encompass a man[that is the
bride birthing the manchild..and to me that is the all men resurrection..of the 8th day..if you
will] she give birth before she travailed.....
now,I am not saying my understanding is perfect by any means...that I may have some of it
messed up..it is just a 'knowing' in me
and another thing we must remember when God does something new..it is not after the
pattern of the old...just as our High Preist Jesus Christ is not after the pattern of the old
preisthood/Aaron/Levi pattern. and we need to know that....who gives birth before they
travail in childbirth?..it is against the natural arrangement..for generally it has been..first
the natural..then the spiritual. But I tell you this is not so with Jesus Christ..for it was
first the spiritual..then come in flesh as man[natural]..then return unto the spiritual.
when He makes all things new...the pattern is no longer after the old....thus we see.....
the bridal city coming down out of heaven..... I make all things new....Christ is our pattern
now...spirit..come in flesh..return unto spirit when something is no longer after the pattern of
the old..you now He is doing something new...

It did, but some folks wont see it. Just thought it was needed. :sigh:
In that case what's usually called the 2nd Temple is the 3rd Temple
Jesus sent the Comforter well after the second temple was built

The Lord does not dwell in temples made of stone. Jesus tore down that temple, by the words of His mouth.
And coming to Him as a living stone which has been rejected by men but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also as living stones are being built into a spiritual house for a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:4,5
Have you not read this scripture? The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner(chief cornerstone). THIS is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our sight.(Mt 21:42)
Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God, and are being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone in whom all the building being fitly framed together grows unto a holy temple in the Lord
in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the spirit. Ephesians (Ehp 2:22)
This is a part of the gospel that will get you killed :o) Everyone is building their house for God, but Jesus said, "Not one stone will be left standing upon another." Let them build their house, as Sheila said- it is not the Spirit of God that will fill it.

If they intend to build it on the Al-Aqsa Mosque it means holy war, it means lives lost and blood spilled for nothing, to build an empty structure that does nothing but point to Christ, to say nothing of the difficulties of finding bloodline Levites to serve it as a tribe and priests and a High Priest to enter the Holy Place.
Just as nearly all the people who have poured into Palestine since World War II are not descended from Eber, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, or even Judah, and are therefore not Jews, Israelites, or even Hebrews; just as they are descendants of Japheth, of the nation of Kazaria; just as the country they have imposed on Palestine is NOT really Israel, but a secular state founded on war and persecution; just as their religious system, as a living faith acceptable to God, was done away with upon the death of Jesus; any temple they build be be just as much a counterfeit as their false origins, their false exodus, their false conquest of Canaan, and the false victim card they present to the world. If all this is part of God's Plan, it is a negative part. A rebuilt temple will mean nothing- it can be nothing more than another aspect of men trying to establish the Kingdom by means of the arm of flesh, an endeavor doomed to failure.
I know that's harsh, but that is my position. :2c:
They are Edomites. Descendants of Esau.
Gen 25:29-30 And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint: And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray you, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
Genesis 5:25 Then the first came out red all over like an official garment of hair; so they called his name Esau.
Today's Palestinians are also called "the tents of Edom"
