Bible eschatology, last things, has changed the way Christians are looking at the New Testament. For those who never heard the concept, the dogma is that most if not all prophecy was fulfilled in the first century. The theology has caught my eye years ago and I ran with it. It seems to me to all make sense in my understanding of the scriptures.
I brought it up in this forum because the idea of Gehenna fits, in my understanding, very well into the doctrine of Hell. And how the listening audience understood the word Gehenna, and what it represented to the first century Jews.

What is the relationship between preterism and 1st century understanding of Jesus' use of Gehenna?
