Title: On the road to Emmaus their eyes were held from seeing
Post by: marie glen on December 07, 2018, 09:44:46 PM
Or "the days UR verse"? For we read them everyday!

The version I was reading said their eyes were prevented from seeing, as they were walking and discussing the Lord and recent events and how it had been three days, and they didn't know that "Jesus Himself" our Lord, had come alongside and was walking with them and conversing with them. :cloud9:

In later verses it says "their eyes were opened"..

Since their eyes were held from and prevented from seeing, how is it that we are supposed to believe He will inflict unending torment upon those who's eyes have not been opened!

Not only is that not very complimentary, but it is not at all logical. A fallacy fairy tale.. (Sorry, I read about a fallacy something the other day.. fallacy truth.. now I ask you? How can there be a fallacy truth? I decided to adopt and change the phrase.. I think mine has a better ring to it. :gsmile: (fallacy riddled fairy tales..)

This subject come up 2 weeks ago for me.I was taking PT and my therapist invited me to The Road to Eammaus group..outreach

for Christians. We had discussed the reason why they did not recognizeHim...andIsaid...that's because we fail to recognize His spirit

in other's. No one knows where the spirit comes from or where it goes. A gardner here,a stranger we meet on the road....

Hebrews 13;2 :2c:
