This is merely speculation of course, and I'm not even taking it seriously, but when I was reading Matthew 5:22 today, it sounded like prophecy to me, if one is angry with a fellow (a brother, fellow human being?) that one is likely/liable/is bound to judgment - judging, he will be judged.

If one says to (the "to" is not really there, of??) another they are of little understanding (condescension) that one is liable to council (against?)

And when one says stupid, brainless, liable to the valley Gehenna they are.. liable to become a tare, and to gather for Armageddon or other persecution/destruction/war/genocide.

Showing by this discourse a progression of anger..? And it's fruit.. (individual or societal)

Is it prophecy or a manifestation of "a falling from showing them grace"?

because if it has been manifested, it is a manifestation of the fall, all over again ..... the vicious cycle of sin .... the spiral into the depths of the grave ..... a dying you shall die becoming that which you are (death), death towards others by killing (getting angry)

Oh yes.. I believe "missing the mark" is a bottomless pit of potential evil and darkness, and without the intervention of God's rescue we all would be locked into it until we died (perished) all at different degrees of darkness and missing the mark, but all missing the mark. "the soul that sinneth ("misses the mark") it shall die".. (I believe that is a natural law due to God being perfect(ion) and also life, thus imperfection is the opposite of life, is tribulation, and is apocalypse.. The way (wrong way!) of wandering away from He who is life, can never work.. I believe this is being proved to all in heaven and earth.. I believe it is the "iron rule" Christ will rule with, for it cannot be broken. All fully knowing this, I believe, will lock all into paradise perfection.. for to wander away can only ever result in a puff of self destructive smoke.. which smoke/memory of/abhorrance of, shall for ever and ever rise up.. What I also see in this verse is the phrase "without a cause" by this term it is putting the emphasis on the one who is getting angry at his brother instead of the condition of the brother

In its original meaning it means (through the idea of failure) "idly" .... taken from a word that means "to be weak" ....

What I see in this verse is someone who is not getting angry "without a cause", but that it is describing the condition of the brother that is having anger directed at him

In other words, not to get angry at your brothers "idleness", "a weakness" "as a failure"

Understood as: whoever is angry with his brothers idleness (weakness) shall be in danger of a tribunal, just because we have come into the strength of God's understandings we should not get angry at those who are "idle" or "weak" in them, because it is this "idleness" or "weakness" that God Himself needs to change in their heart and mind ....

because the tribunal (court) that we will be brought into is that of the brother we are getting angry with when he says "Who are you to judge me?"

But like you, this is only my opinion
Wisdom is not measured by time, it is measured by understanding

:Chinscratch: which (also) makes me think sometimes there is cause.. but how many times should we forgive? 77 times 7 times! So with His grace, we can forgive (and forget!) And yes may we have the grace to have patience with all our little brethren, even those who don't know any better but to believe the ET cultural myth. Besides what sort of witness is it if we aren't able to display more grace/fruit than the ET news produces?

Amen with that brothers and sisters! But I do have a question in mind with this...

Quote...How many times should we forgive? 77 times 7 times! So with His grace, we can forgive (and forget!)

In regards to this, we are always called to love our enemies and forgive them, correct? But, do we "Forgive and Forget?" Or do we "Forgive but not Forget?" Or is this situational?

Blessings...

I believe  it is just like Jesus said you will have tribulation in the world , but His Word gives us peace , spiritually speaking  , that Word in us cannot be corrupted   because to me it is the LIVING  works of Christ in you   that glorifies God ..
John 16:33 (NASB)
33 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."

Be angry  ,   Jesus   had a righteous anger towards     bullies  yet never sinned when He  turned over the    tables in His Fathers house  calling it a den of thieves     and we see the connection here   in   Ephesians 4:24-28(NASB)
24 and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. A Spiritual growth in truth and grace by Gods  mercy towards his  children ..

25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. 26 Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

27 and do not give the devil an opportunity. 28 He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need.

Odd how they were buying and selling   salvation sacrifices  with the money changers in the temple huh?   and Paul says this here   , We are to buy the truth and      do not  sell it , but give freely as it is given to us  by the works of the Holy Spirit , do not lie against the  Spirit of  truth ,,,  I do think there is a judgment in this   because  Ananias and Saphinna    are an example of   this very thing .

I think carnal man has a problem with anger  , but this is   Gods creation also   and we are to   consider our own carnal nature to  me  this is   the lower  nature that  , like an  animal instinct  must be tamed   and controlled by the new  creature of Christ in You  , Spiritual  gifts of God  though practicing   righteousness of  temperance  and self control , patience etc ,,, bearing fruits to God  , unless we also fall  from Gods grace
into that lower nature again and again  and  find ourselves no better off than  the ones we judge  as evil

I found evil an interesting  study ...   it is the bad  , found in the tree of knowledge of good and bad .. Jesus said make the tree good and its fruit  good a tree is KNOWN by its fruit   ...
producing both good and bad fruit makes one unstable in all his ways   ,  we can than see the hypocrisy   than and makes God look bad in the sight of the unbeliever    who does not know his left hand from his right hand

Remember the little member being the tongue that cannot be tamed ?    Only the Lord can tame the tongue ...

Praising God and cursing mankind  , one  made in Gods image  ?  that is the way of the world  , look at politics   :sigh:   an open show for all to see the corruption is bad /evil  fruit   slander , speaking evil of one another . etc
and the earthly sensual going by what we  taste ,touch , handle and feel ,see , smell  and taste ..as our own little judge in our own little world ... small world ...and cannot see past it  very far off ... :sigh:

1 Corinthians 13

1If I speak in the tonguesa of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,b but do not have love, I gain nothing.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

I think this verse answers the question of whether to forgive and forget.

And, when I saw your post MusicLover123, it just came to me to go to 1 Corinthians 13, to respond. Just popped in my head. The Holy Spirit is so incredible.

Love keeps no record of wrongs.

Thanks Dandelion and Rosered! Funilly enough, 1 Cor. 13 has been on my mind lately. At the moment though, I forgot about "love keeps no records of wrongs." That probably is one of, if not the favorite passages of mine in Scripture.

Praise God that He gives up on no one. That He gives us a Savior, and that we have no worrrying in saving ourselves.
John 1

Amen Dandy!!! :HeartThrob:  wonderful post ..

Goes to show  how much   the world needs GODS LOVE  huh?

You my dear reminded me of Perfect love , BE perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect  matt 5
  and this

1 John 4:18 (NASB)
18 There is no fear in love;

but perfect love casts out fear,

because fear involves punishment,

and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

I was reminded of two lessons  long ago about , I feared many things  especially   fearing judgment , till I saw Paul  said judge nothing before the Lord comes to bring it to light  , he did not even judge himself any longer ...knowing whatever he done it was for the Lord and to the LORD .
and   the best way to   stop a fire  is to stop putting wood/ dead works  on it , if there is no fuel there is no fire it dies  out ...

Very helpful    when GODS  Grace abounds  the more ,,, the Lamb was silent before his accusers    and  did not open his mouth ..

Proverbs 17 27He who restrains his words has knowledge,

And he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding.

28Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise;

When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent.

There is no wrong to remember when there is no quarrels , have peace within yourselves as much as be in you ...
you are the salt of the earth , that is  being humble  to me   ...

God heals all  wounds .. :HeartThrob:
Jesus is the reward  !!

Proverb:8:32-36:
Now therefore hearken unto me,
O ye children:
for blessed are they that keep my ways.
Hear instruction,
and be wise,

Blessed is the man that heareth me,
watching daily at my gates,
waiting at the posts of my doors.
For whoso findeth me findeth life,
and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul:
all they that hate me love death.

Paul's letters are meant for the period of time known as 'the time of the Gentiles'. The last 42 months have people like Moses and Aaron walking around Jerusalem so there is proof of God rather than the book alone being the gathering tool.

Lu:21:24:
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword,
and shall be led away captive into all nations:
and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles,
until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Re:11:2:
But the court which is without the temple leave out,
and measure it not;
for it is given unto the Gentiles:
and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
