I didn't read any further as the article veered off it seemed..

I'm pretty sure what He meant is the death that came through Adam is the first death.. And the second death is the death of death, the grave and of all suffering, evil, sorrow, etc. and their cause "missing the mark"/sin/imperfection.. At least I think that's what he meant..  :Chinscratch: I guess I better read the rest of the article so I know.. But that's the impression now I'm getting of the verse. which I find very interesting and enlightening..

[11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way.. when the heavens will be dissolved by fire and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with God's promise, we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. 2 Pet.3:11-13 ..  1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. 2And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, 4and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." 5 And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new.. 

..death and the grave/hell/wrongness are cast into the lake of fire, this is the second death..
