there is a psalm that says God makes his servants into fireflames. This is quite interesting if we note the conventional description of hell as a place of flames. What if the devil and his angels (who are the only ones to go to hell imho), become flame beings in hell and only suffer loneliness and nothingness there? That they are, being flames, shut up in a world of flames? This seems to say, hell is like a storage space where the truly evil have to suffer abandonment from God until they realize their evil and praise God for their punishment..

Hell itself is nonexistent. The image of "flames" or "fire" I believe represents judgment in a general sense (not literal fire). Paul said that the saints shall judge the world and angels. The manner in which they judge the world is through the tongue, which is why we have an image of fire like tongues in the Pentecost event, settling upon the heads of the disciples. The Gospel message is a judgment against sin. It's a message of peace, but those who enjoy their sin and love the darkness HATE any talk against sin.
So, from my perspective, the flaming fire scriptures are not about people being put into literal fire, but it represents a judgment upon themselves according to their own works.
Isaiah 9:18-20
His anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.
Surely WICKEDNESS burns like a fire; it consumes briers and thorns, it sets the forest thickets ablaze, so that
it rolls upward in a column of smoke (Revelation talks about this smoke too). By the wrath of the Lord Almighty the land will be scorched and the people will be fuel for the fire;
they will not spare one another. On the right they will devour, but still be hungry; on the left they will eat, but not be satisfied.
Jesus came to teach and he taught in Spirit. Saying those who worship Father must worship Him in Spirit.
History is a fascinating subject, and regarding many biblical accounts such as "creation", "the flood" history proves that there were references to such events in many ancient cultures that predate the time the biblical accounts were written.
Not that this matters at all, my faith has never been based on the literalness of the Holy Word. I have yet to find any instruction in the "word" that says that it MUST. On the contrary, we have been told countless times to Trust in Father for EVERYTHING and ourselves in NOTHING.
The Spirit is the bringer of ALL TRUTH, and LOVE has no part in endless suffering. These are all myth's. Not without due cause, because Father has intentionally blinded many and made fools of the "wise"

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
I do not believe that the "TRUTH" is buried anywhere in Scripture where it can be "FOUND", but rather DEEP inside each of us, and SCRIPTURAL TRUTH is revealed only when the LIGHT of truth reveals it.
It's not so hard TRUSTING someone we TRULY LOVE; the question that must be asked always is: DO I TRUST FATHER enough to let go of everything, most of all, our need to KNOW and UNDERSTAND?

I see God as the consuming fire , all that purifies
and those ministers of fire are in the presence of God just as the seraphims are in Isaiah 6
takes the coal on the alter and placing it on Isaiahs lips "purifying his speech " to speak the things of God to the people and as Seth says judgment , but in the positive sense when GOD deals with mankind , making ministers /messengers for Himself though those experiences , very symbolic of divine intervention as well , Jesus come to send fire upon the earth Luke 12 :49 , very much the work of the Holy Spirit and Fire !!

Fire = Fiery Law
The law is basically the essence of God. His character. Well part of it because obviously God can't be summarized into a few verses.

I believe that is how the Law brings wrath because the strength of sin is the Law. On the other hand Jesus delivers us from the strength of sin. This is why those who try to mix grace with law find a shipwreck of their faith. Fire destroys.

28Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29For our God is a consuming fire.
