Hello all, it seems on 9/23/17 there will be a celestial sign that has never been seen before. The link below describes it in more detail. What are your thoughts?

Tom

Well, I don't want to sound like doubting Thomas, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Shev

I would like to make a prophecy of my own: 100% of date setting prophecies will fail.

Lazarus Short

Those who have read The Glory of the Stars know that the constellations of the sky tell the same story the Bible tells, but in a crude, pictographic way.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

I need no sign but the bloodstained cross of my Lord Jesus Christ, by which He conquered Death and the Grave.

I have lived through many failed prophecies. Call me a sceptic.
3 John 4 - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

..not that I particularly believe anything this man has to say. But I am watching..this is a 7th Sabbath year=49 years.

And beginning this Sept...a Jubilee Great Sabbath[50] begins and ends Sept. 2016

we would have to be truly blind to not realize that these times we are living in are not remarkable.

even people without faith in God can see 'the writing on the wall' so to speak.

How He will play out all of these things are yet to be seen...and the scriptures must be fulfilled.

I have found, personally, that it is only after He has fulfilled things does it become evident what He did.

Just as in the days leading up to Jesus back then..people had preconcieved 'notions" of what the appearance

of the Messiah would be like, what He would do/and accomplish. The image in their mind of how it would manifest

was so strong...that they couldn't see Him...and put Him to death and rejected Him...and even His disciples had

to adjust their expectations[are you restoring the kingdom unto Israel, now Lord?]

Until then, I WATCH and WAIT...

Amen Shelia  ,

Jesus come in appearance as we all do      born a little baby boy  innocent and grew up   and hung out with the tax collectors and publicans and  harlots of them      days ,  as well as to the  chief priests and  scribes Jews and gentiles   alike  ,  Leaders     high seats    and many  along the way    , common folk .

He was all things to all men , the very thing   Paul picked up on and  knew that ''saving grace ''   was to all   men and that was the ''common thing ''

No one in the flesh knew the power of Gods spirit working in Him   , But He did !!    and so did Paul    and so shall we   also know Him in this manner
as some  already do,   I am certain .

1 Corth 1 26For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh,

not many mighty, not many noble;

27but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,

28and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,

, 29so that no man may boast before God....

patience saints wait on the Lord   and remain faithful  and true to His Word  ,  till the end .

Bringing to Light the things hidden in darkness

4For I am conscious of nothing against myself, yet I am not by this acquitted; but the one who examines me is the Lord.

5Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men's hearts; and then each man's praise will come to him from God.

Revelation 13:10
"If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed." This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God's people.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Seems these are   the requirements  of the holy ones  of  Gods chosen  people   ....
Jesus is the reward  !!

I think we have all the information we need in an accurate translation of scripture.

"the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" (Revelation 19:10)

"Now, concerning that day and hour no one is aware, neither the messengers of the heavens, nor the Son; except the Father only." (Matthew 24:36)

sheila

SFTT Jesus gives a composite Sign of the End of the Age. in Matthew 24.  The disciples had asked Him what would be

the sign of His coming And the end of the age. Wars rumours of wars/world wars  famines earthquakes are just the

beginning. Next persecution and being put to death/betrayl and turning against one another of believers...many

FALSE PROPHETS DECIEVING[thus all the failed date setters/deception etc]and Love growing cold.  Gospel preached..

Please read the whole chapter....DAY AND HOUR UNKNOWN

Tom

I think the point is that there's really nothing to be gained by trying to guess when it's happening because we're just supposed to stay ready.

Tom

I think some folks like to think about the scary stuff that's going to happen just like some folks like scary movies. I prefer to be at peace knowing the body of Christ will be snatched away to meet Christ in the air. Just like worldly ambassadors are withdrawn before conflict, we're ambassadors of reconciliation who will be withdrawn.

"For Christ, then, are we ambassadors, as of God entreating through us. We are beseeching for Christ's sake, 'Be conciliated to God!'" (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"For, if we are believing that Jesus died and rose, thus also, those who are put to repose, will God, through Jesus, lead forth together with Him. For this we are saying to you by the word of the Lord, that we, the living, who are surviving to the presence of the Lord, should by no means outstrip those who are put to repose, for the Lord Himself will be descending from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the Chief Messenger, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall be rising first. Thereupon we, the living who are surviving, shall at the same time be snatched away together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And thus shall we always be together with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17)

"Much rather, then, being now justified in His blood, we shall be saved from indignation, through Him." (Romans 5:9)

sheila

that may be what 'you think" but other people have the right to  ask questions and make posts.

and 'I THINK" some people are actually scared and have legitimate questions and really want some opionions like they say.

God often doesn't let his right hand know what his left hand is doing.AND SOMETIMES  WE DON'T KNOW

WHAT THE OTHER HAND IS DOING .

'you' may be snatched away..like you say..but many [a great crowd] will not be and will go through great tribulation

and may want to talk, ask questions, discusss it.

sheila

Luke 11;7  ...don't bother me...the door is already locked and my children are with me in bed...

v 9 so I say to you 'ask, and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened."

micah7:9

Seems some who are waiting to see are buying it :sigh:

There are a lot of Christians around the world who have not been "withdrawn", but are being butchered in droves. Many believers throughout history, including most of the apostles themselves, were not "withdrawn", but were sent to their deaths. Christ saves us through tribulation, not from it.

As for me and the end times, this is my take.

Yes, Jesus told us signs, but He also said that only the Father knew when the last days were coming, not even Himself.

And, we never really know what each day is going to bring.....what we will be called upon to do for the Lord, or what difficulties will come.

So, everyday, ' I put on my full armor of Christ' (see below) and I trust my life into God's hands, as He asks over and over, in scripture.

And, I know, that whatever happens, I will walk with the Lord, as Noah did, step by step, and He will be 'my strength and my shield'.

And, for me, that is about it.

Ephesians 6:10-18Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

10 As to the rest, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might;
11 put on the whole armour of God, for your being able to stand against the wiles of the devil,
12 because we have not the wrestling with blood and flesh, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual things of the evil in the heavenly places;
13 because of this take ye up the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the day of the evil, and all things having done -- to stand.
14 Stand, therefore, having your loins girt about in truth, and having put on the breastplate of the righteousness,
15 and having the feet shod in the preparation of the good-news of the peace;
16 above all, having taken up the shield of the faith, in which ye shall be able all the fiery darts of the evil one to quench,
17 and the helmet of the salvation receive, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the saying of God,
18 through all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the Spirit, and in regard to this same, watching in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints --

:2c:
7"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened....

Matthew 7:7 -8

Tom

The word and context of "withdrawn" was in reference to the body of Christ being "withdrawn" from this world to be saved from the coming indignation. It doesn't refer to those, including Christ, who have been persecuted and even killed before then. I think we are to expect persecution in this wicked eon and may even be killed for our faith.

"Much rather, then, being now justified in His blood, we shall be saved from indignation, through Him." (Romans 5:9)

"Fear is not in love, but perfect love is casting out fear, for fear has chastening. Now he who is fearing is not perfected in love." (1 John 4:18)

Tom

"to be waiting for His Son out of the heavens, Whom He rouses from among the dead, Jesus, our Rescuer out of the coming indignation" (1 Thessalonians 1:10)

"God did not appoint us to indignation, but to the procuring of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for our sakes, that, whether we may be watching or drowsing, we should be living at the same time together with Him." (1 Thessalonians 5:9,10)

Shall we go through the Great Affliction? See the attachment.

Amen!!! profound words of truth

Hebrews 5 ...7In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety.

8Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. 9And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,...

Philippians 2:8
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death-- even death on a cross!

I see the sign of the Cross as the    last enemy being death     and the victory over   death though Jesus Christ

Those are christians and  have  died     in faith honoring their     calling  in Jesus name ,     to rise in the Higher  realm of Gods kingdom    .

Yes, Jesus told us signs, but He also said that only the Father knew when the last days were coming, not even Himself.
By stating  that He actually set a date with an accuracy of a day or less.

It are two extremely common idioms/sayings wrapped into one verse.
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...
