Quote from: Cardinal on October 24, 2018, 09:51:35 PMTurned over to HaSatan = means the soul's (that person's) covering was removed. What happened to the women (souls) who were uncovered? Basically, they are being turned over to the things they would not overcome, until it breaks them and in so doing, brings true repentance. A little leaven leaves the whole lump. Not only would the spirit they accepted and refused to be delivered of gain strength from this, but more would have free access as well because of rebellion and disobedience, making that man's latter state worse than at the first. We see this all the time being played out around us ( or in us if we do same). But what the enemy means for evil, God means for good. We are chastised by our own iniquities and eat of the fruit of our own lips, both in the body and out of it.
"eat of the fruit of our own lips"

Proverbs 18:21 (KJV) Death and life are in the power of the tongue:
and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Mt 12 (from Aramaic, based on Younan), http://dukhrana.com
34. ....For the mouth speaks from the fullness of the heart.
35. A good man
brings forth good
from good treasures,
and an evil man
brings forth evil
from evil treasures.
36-37. For I say to you that (for) every vain word that the sons of men speak,
they will give an account of it in the Yoma-d'Dina [Day of Judgment].
For by your words
you will be justified,
and by your words
you will be condemned."

Revelation chapter 14, the two harvests of earth.

Portrayed in metaphor, but literal.

Reaping the Earth's Harvest (wheat into His barn)
14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." 16 So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

Reaping the Grapes of Wrath (tares to Armageddon, last war/battle of man)

17 Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18 And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe." 19 So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trampled outside the city..

It doesn't even say what is being reaped literally, it can't be the Earth. Is has to be either some people or some produce because that's what the metaphor represents.

Sorry, I thought you'd likely read the Book of Revelation. :Peace2:

Matthew 13 (KJV)
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+13&version=KJV
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
....
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

  :iagree:

    :Chinscratch: 49 So shall it be - when? - at the end of the world age: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire -- when? -- there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. -- when??

To anyone who's read the book of Revelation, no one believes anyone is cast into the lake of fire until after the millennium and after what is called Judgment Day, and Jesus called "the Judgment".

So cast them into the furnace of fire -- when?

p.s., it's believed to be 'hell' but the verses their selves prove it's not (of course)

Also, in Jesus' last days discourse, and in 2 Thessalonians 1:8, about His return, the word used is punishment.. vengeance. (Whereas otherwise, especially with after this life, the word is kolasis, corrective..)

That's the thing! "His wrath" is not 'hell' or afterlife! ...And I still believe it is, in large/most part, results and consequences. How else would stubborn humans ever learn??

Jersak argues that God's wrath is God letting people suffer the injurious consequences of their evil actions.

What, the most obviously non-literal book in the Bible? Yeah, I've read it. Trying to discern it is something else.

Yeah, doesn't help that it's portrayed via symbols and metaphor.. :doh: :laughing7:

That's quite funny actually. If Revelation uses symbols, and you say to interpret it symbolically, do you read it literally? Or if you say to read it literally, do you read it symbolically?  :icon_jokercolor:
John 1
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

It is! Such irony! And... God is SO clever!

I read it as literal.. a fascinating culmination of the rest of the Bible and of history.. if I could convince ppl of the keys.. I blog about it, but thinking of online tuturing. All free of course.. working on it.. so at ppl's speed and in small bites. (All little hard to do if you think you understand it, and it's all connected. Or if you're like me and go on and on.. lol) Starting a (re)new(ed) study too, identifying cross references between Revelation with the prophets and other verses and listing them. Which reminds me.. going to post today a study "formula and keys to bible prophecy".. after I add some links..? It's short. (I've had time to study, over the years. My socks are so knocked off. It's natural I want to communicate it.. shorty, briefly, clearly - most of all. Cause the whole book /bible, goes together.. and Rev strongly supports u.r.! Sorry to babble on..

:angry1: Don't mock me! I have doubts you really understand the difference between literal meanings and allegorical ones. if you followed your thought process to it's conclusion you may well come unstuck. Revelation is a 22 chapter book which I've proposed discussing with you twice, answer came there none.
