Death where does it take you?

This query has been around before but I may be closer than I was before, so I'd like to get it as close to possible in my understanding. I understand that death has been defeated 1Co 15:55  where, O Death, thy sting? where, O Hades, thy victory?' Yet death is a passage I will have to take, to be raised. Am I not correct in my reasoning?

I have been wondering about this event since we all come to its threshold at any moment in time, I ask for insight...  Death /dead .... It was on this site that I first heard the [un] scriptural phrase "soul sleep," which I, me, personally, have never been able to accept. I am a "soul" and if the meaning of "sleep" is understood to be death, then that is a "dead soul"(human) which again the Word offers Eze 18:4  Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. (Rom.3:23)

When a person dies in the ET world of religion and most orthodox beliefs they either go to heaven or hell. Now I believe The Word.... it is the Father's good pleasure that ALL men WILL be SAVED. So my question is within my belief, where do I go when I die/dead?

I can find nowhere in my Bible where when I die/dead go to heaven. And since hell/hades/sheloe is the grave/pit, that is where I will go to wait[dead](sleep) (1Co_15:42) my breath/spirit returned to the Lord God who gave it who is the Father of breaths[spirits] Heb. 12:9  this according to Ecc. 12:7 Is this not correct?
Now I understand that we can put all types of meanings to words, example the "breath" in Gen.2:7 some will call  "spirit" just as "spirit" in Ecc. 12:7 some may call "breath." I accept breath in Ecc. 12:7 I am given to understand this way, when I die, He takes my breath(I'm dead) and I begin the erosion time back to dust, in my case pretty quick, I have opt for cremation.  Just askin :Chinscratch:

cc 12:7  and the dust returneth to the earth as it was, and the spirit[breath] returneth unto God who gave it.
Gen 2:7  And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath[spirit] of life; and man became a living soul.

The soul (sleep) thing looks like it's taking up all your study time. Surely many people spend lots of time on certain topics. Too much time. I'm one of them. But at a certain point it's wise to admit defeat and let the topic reset and learn other things.

Dead, asleep, a spirit, a soul, what difference does it really make? It's simply about not being with Father and Son. That's the rough outline of things. Personally, I believe in the soul sleep concept but at the same time can fully accept that Jesus ended the soul sleep for many. There are several resurrections so dead, either literal and/or spiritual, must be at least a little different for certain groups.

Finally, I said this before, you are seeking things I think you are not fully prepared to seek. Many things are written down in black and white. Very directly. Many more things are not. I think "soul sleep" is one of them. Studying such this requires reading between the lines. Connecting dots and looking for patterns. When you want to enter that level of study you have to be prepared to leave the safe ground of literal Scriptual statements. By that I'm in no way trying to say you should ignore the solid black and white level. Not at all. Nothing in Scripture contradicts; that includes the levels. I don't have the "soul sleep" answer, but I do think if the answer can be found in the Bible it's not in the first level. You have to get your hands dirty and start digging.
What works for me, and likely not for millions others, is just study and accept everything that has a fair possibility to be true for a few weeks. Then start to compare all bits and pieces of new info and start weeding out all false stuff and see if you find stuff with a few witnesses. 
Be prepared for burning eyes from lack of sleep. Be prepared to feel all 'fuzzy' from many views that (seem to) contradict. And then suddenly you find a key and contradictions fade away. :banana: Or not.... :sigh:

FYI .....I have spent absolutely NO TIME on "soul sleep" I found it a "silly" expression when I first saw it on this site, I will have to read the rest of your post later, I was just amazed and amused that that is what you would start your reply with! :banana: :dsunny:

You very well understood what I meant to say. What is "I" doing in sheol? What is his state?

I feel even suffocated by reading posts of several members. So I ignore their posts (forum's ignore function isn't working James) as they ignore mine.
With just a handful of people posting it's has become a waste of time. What once was is no longer. This forum could have been a great vehicle for God's Word; but's not anymore. :sigh:
