Last year I wrote an article on Luke 21. You can read the whole article by following the link below, but in this post I've included a summary:

https://victoryoftheeons.com/2016/07/27/prophecies-of-the-olivet-discourse/

In a specific sense, I believe Luke's prophecies about crises before Christ's return were fulfilled during the period of 66 - 70 A.D. There are historical records of severe earthquakes and famines amid the wars of that era. Christians who trusted in Jesus' prophecy interpreted events of 66 A.D. as the signs Jesus spoke of, and they fled Jerusalem as He instructed.

However, in a general sense, I believe the Tribulation has continued from then on up to the present day. Luke 21:24 states that "there will be great distress on the earth and wrath against this people; they will fall by the edge of the sword and be taken away as captives among all nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."

I believe that the "times of the Gentiles" began with Paul's ministry and is still underway. The times of the Gentiles will end when Christ returns to establish a new kingdom on earth headed by Israel.

Could the recent eclipse be a sign that the era of the Gentiles is almost over? It's possible, although I don't think the ensuing crises are signs of Christ's return. I interpret 1 Thes. 5:3 to mean that Christ will return when people are saying "peace and security" as opposed to a time of crisis.

If we have the Holy Spirit in our lives we realize that nothing else matters.. Very thankful of course for all God's blessings which are in our lives (and trials), but the happiness he gives is beyond and has nothing to do with circumstances. What can separate us from his love and happiness? Not even things to come should they come in our day.. :cloud9:

I've been in prayer before and have seen a verse come as though floating across my mind (almost like on a line, as the second part is just a little lower then the first), the line being "lovest thou me? ..feed my sheep.." Edit: no! that's not how it was! It was just the first phrase, with 'thou me' being a little lower..

..about U.R. absolutely! we are all convinced of that.. but this was concerning how He is love and joy and He doesn't want his people to suffer horrible tribulations - if you are faint of heart, don't read this next line!  ..the guillotine is much more merciful than isis.. I'm sorry for writing that, but it is part of what I'm writing..

People will be marrying and giving in marriage.. it comes unexpectedly.. so besides the all important depending on the Spirit, what has God said about those days as far as signposts and attitude - so we can pass this knowledge on to others.

The only way to know this, is to consider all verses which pertain. Especially if we could wipe our mind clean (clear) on this like a never written on slate.

I have read that in 70 A.D. the Christians, during a pause, left the city before it was so brutally besieged and the temple complex razed with fire til not one stone was left atop another (except those of the Western Wall, which I assume are prophesied to come down? Dan. 12:11(12)

And we know there will be christians alive upon Earth at Jesus' return..

  :iagree: I think bible prophecy concerning 'last' days, has gotten incorrectly fixed into a seven year frame, i.e. put in a box!

I do believe the weather and other things are birth pangs (tremors) but I believe the whole last days is in the ride of the white horse - referring to Rev chapter six, the first horse and rider which in the vision when he comes upon the scene, begins the revelation vision as relating to upon earth.

I feel I've had this confirmed by the word "olam" - been wanting to mention that to Eaglesway but haven't been able to put it into words. But included in the word olam, as age, somehow includes all within that age (?) :dontknow: That's how I remember it anyway. Somehow one day it struck me that way, concerning the "first horse of the apocalypse" which i've always thought of as the years of our Lord A.D.

Of course each horse (and seal) continues its ride throughout the vision.. maturing (and culminate at the 'end') - you see, to me "apocalypse" means the unveiling when all untruth / built not on the Rock, the Stone the builders rejected, comes tumbling down, breaking apart.. man's system crashing and a little later how Isaiah wrote "in the day the towers fall" - which I take to be metaphor for all our castles in the air and inner towers falling, but also outer towers and the towers of the world, man's world and empires.. Indeed I think the "great hail" which falls will be debris (!) "Come out of her my people.." Yes, watching a film a few years back about 9/11 with all its debris falling and for a moment it looked like hail.. ( :dontknow: )

(I do however believe there will be some sort of seven year treaty, whether world or concerning Israel? anyway, peace, peace, but which will be broken in the middle (midst) (when Dan 12:11 occurs / Mt 24:1-2?). I also think men's hearts failing them for fear because of what's happening in the weather on land and sea, will also occur.. While people are marrying and giving in marriage, and until the crash, meanwhile business goes on as usual.. As an overview that is, as there's plenty of tribulation going on in the middle east, for example, right now..

I have not come across any verses which in the original say "the" tribulation.. and i tend to focus on Jesus (in the revelation letter to Smyrna) referring to "ten days tribulation" which somehow has gotten lodged into my mind as the last ten days and coinciding to whatever the six sixty six is when it escalates from cannot buy or sell, to will be killed (Dan 12:12?)

I have been thinking about all of the things that are going on in the world this year compared to the past and it sure can get ones attention.

I do believe God has a timeline. He surely planned every detail and the set time when they will happen. Jesus said to WATCH. I do believe a lot has already happened but I also believe there are things that are still to happen,...there just has to be. I believe there is a set time as to when Jesus comes back and when the end will be. It says we won't know the

There have been earthquakes, blood moons, eclipse, hurricanes, fires, president Trump being elected when it seemed impossible.  All of these things God planned from the beginning for some purpose. I think we should keep our eyes open to what is going on in the world. Jesus said to the Pharisees "O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? "Of that day and hour knoweth no man". We may not know the day nor hour but I think we can know when the end is near, even at the door.

As the song says " did I do all I could do in the time that you gave me".

I tend to use this 'sign' Mt 24;32  Now learn this lesson from the fig tree;AS SOON AS IT'S TWIGS GET TENDER,AND IT'S

LEAVES COME OUT,YOU KNOW THAT SUMMER IS NEAR.

..fig tree leaves covered the shame of the nakedness of Adam and EVE...sowhen you see people praying/declaring for all men's sins to be

covered..by the blood of Jesus...and the declaration that He has made atonement..

you know it won't be long and we'll all get new skins.. :declare:

"Of that day and hour knoweth no man"

No one knows the hour in which they will die. "Thou fool, this day thy soul is required of thee."

I think most of the time that is what is meant. In the language of parable Jesus has told us to not focus on apocalyptic time schedules- but rather to count all as loss and rejoice when our redemption draws near. When the mortal veil is torn the next thing any person will know is the face of Jesus Christ enthroned in the midst of the throng of angels and the spirits of righteous men made perfect in the general assembly of the firstborn registered in heaven. This will be a reservoir of fire for those who need it to be and a crystal sea for those who rejoice at His presence.  :2c:

The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2

Thank you  James ,

Seems   the media  tries to  invoke  fear ,
I  sure do not put much stock in such    things ..
Those   whom believe and obey the Lord are waiting on Him.

Psalms 27 The Lord is My Salvation
...13I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.

14Wait for the LORD;

Be strong and let your heart take courage;

Yes, wait for the LORD.
Jesus is the reward  !!
