:cloud9: I think what is meant there is that the day LIGHT is 12 hours, not that A day is 12 hours. God was plain about a day being night and day, in Genesis.

@ Beloved....yes, because Adam didn't make it to this perfect day, which is the day of the Lord = in Christ, no part darkness. Blessings...
"I would rather train twenty men to pray, than a thousand to preach; A minister's highest mission ought to be to teach his people to pray." -H. MacGregor

Beloved Servant

Yes Card, that's good, I understand.
Here's also something from Bro. Eby just because I know his writings so well.

ONE THOUSAND (and all the zeros of the thousands) is the number in scripture connected with THE GLORY OF GOD. The highest number referred to in any way in the Bible is ten thousands times ten thousand, and the whole picture surrounding this number bespeaks the majesty of the GLORY OF GOD. "I beheld till the thrones were set, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like the pure wool: His throne was like the fiery flame, and His wheels like burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him: thousand thousands ministered unto Him, and ten thousand(s) times ten thousand stood before Him" (Dan. 7:9-10). "And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels (messengers) round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand(s) times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing" (Rev. 5:11-12).

Interesting that in connection with the "thousand years" in chapter 20 and 21 of Revelation, John was carried away in the Spirit and showed "that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, HAVING THE GLORY OF GOD: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal" (Rev. 21:10-11). As you study these things you will notice that the scriptures show conclusively that ONE THOUSAND is the number of THE GLORY OF GOD. There is a most significant truth here, to which the Spirit of God would draw our attention. When the keepers of the Vineyard render a thousand pieces of silver to the Lord of the Vineyard, this price represents the FULL VALUE OF THE FRUIT, signifying that they return unto the Lord all He has inworked into their lives, the price of all the fruitage borne, so that HE RECEIVES ALL THE GLORY for all that has been wrought! A thousand pieces of silver, all the glory of the fruitage, rendered unto the Lord, for He is worthy, bless His name.

Just sharing, but I've come to know, from what I've read over the years, the number 1000 as divine completeness / the Fathers possession and glory.

I like that, and it has harmony.

Back to the day....If I have read correctly Jo.11:9 states that a day is 12 hours.
That's half the answer.

KJVGen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

The light part is called day BTW the light part of the day varies in length with the seasons.
The combination of the two parts of a day is called day.

In Hewbrew darkness=evening=chaos(=sin)
In Hebrew light=day=order(=holy)
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

Just to clarify I was blessed to have studied  the writings of J. Preston Eby beginning some 25 yrs ago.He has enlighten me to much; I, as well as some of you may have read the works of Geo Warnock (The Feast of Tabernacles) and the "Page" by Hawtin;) I was blessed to be able to go thru 4 yrs of Bill Britton's mail course through the "House of Prayer" in Springfield.MO
I been blessed to have read and studied much of the works of Ray Prinzing over the last 25 some years. Yes Gary and the Tentmaker were new to me, when I was led to his sight, and I was going nuts with this teaching that I had recieved that ALL men would be saved; that God loved His creation and that ALL ...would be restored to HIM.
If I have grown at all, I believe it is because of the teachings of L.Ray Smith. You cant cut corners, you cant just fill in the blanks with theology and christian teaching, the Word of God is...and when you read it all, Well Glory!
I consider each of you my teachers, I desire your answers, but please dont deny my wondering of your answers with questions that may seem...dang!
Peace and Love Through Jesus..The King of Kings and Saviour of THE WORLD!
