In the wildeness but also the Temple. They used the same method for the Temple as Moses did in the wilderness
I (think I) know the answer. Your answer is not correct. Nearby but you can do better. Hint the exact position can't be described with a few words.
Plus what was the size of the camp?

I believe the Tabernacle was in the center of the camp and according to Scheuchzer the camp was 12 square miles.

I know that the twelve tribes camped round about it . . .I know that from above, they formed a cross . . .I know that the alignment of the articles in the tabernacle, from the outer court to the holy of holies are connected to each body part of Jesus that shed blood . . .feet being the altar of sacrifice, spear in the side connected to the laver, one nail-pierced hand in the candlestick, the other in the table of shewbread the crown of thorns in the altar of incense and the holy of hoiies is the ascended place where mercy pours out, the anointing oil that pours down from the head, through the beard, down the rest of the body to the feet . . .anointed from the renewed mind to the walk of righteousness.

But for me, the centerpiece would be the holy of Holies . . .Where God's presence resides in all of us.
