Have you ever met someone that don't want truth, they just want to be right?
In a for instance I mention Jesus came not to condemn but to save the lost, then mention everyone was lost they don't want to hear that, some are too lost to be saved in their opinion, and are happy they believe this to be true.
I remember when I believed some was just to far gone to ever be saved, not knowing at the time I was just as lost as anyone.
I have come to the conclusion some think they have the truth though they never study or even consider the goodness of God.
I really see this belief as destructive, yet I know God can and will humble all of us in his time.
Just some thoughts I have been considering.
I am not sure if this is even worthy of thoughts or conversation but felt like posting it.

I've probably been some version of that guy myself, at some point(s) in my life...seems now like the more I learn, the less I know...
The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2

You are right SQ; that's the truth :laughing7:
I think we all have a bit of that. I even think we would go insane without it.
Imagine you doubted everything you see, hear and do.
Just like people that check 10x if the door locked before they go to bed.
Then better be sure you did it and sleep without worries.
It may sound like a trival example but I think it can really wreck a person that constantly doubts.

Maybe? No sure  :dontknow:
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

One thing I don't doubt is if God is God he won't loose not one,how could he be all powerful and loose anyone or anything.

One thing that might be worse is trying to out guess what someone will do next, you are usually right but then that one time they do something out of the ordinary. Thats a bummer! :laughing7:
