Hey James.  I don't see any problems fitting this verse in with a CV view of atonement.  CV definitely asserts that Christ died an atoning death on behalf of mankind, it just defines the reason, motivation, and execution of that atonement differently from Penal Substitution.

OK, I kind of thought that could be the case from what you said earlier.  Thanks for clarifying that for me...I'll look at it some more, thanks.   :bigGrin:
