Hi all!
Recently, I've been "going back" to some early beliefs, experiences and stuff. I think it's been a search based on a desire for truth, and I'm seeing that it's really something to reflect on that Jesus said, "I AM the Truth." Kinda' like, set all doctrine aside, and know HIM.

A verse that has been "after me" lately is this: "Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?" Paul was asking this to people who apparently were saved, yet without the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Personally, I had a special experience one time, when my desire was to know God, and I really wanted to know more about the practical, "hands on" experience of the Spirit. And after a prayer meeting one day (just among university students, no church denomination, nothing), walking along, it happened!! A great sense of joy! A feeling that I have never had since, and never experienced before.  :boogie:

The reason I believe that experience was in the Spirit, although there was no "speaking in tongues" that I recall, is that the name of "Jesus" became so special to me.

A couple of years later, I fell in love with a girl who wasn't saved. But I loved her a lot, and I remember praying to the Lord, telling Him that I thought I could bring her to Him if I dated her.    (How foolish!!)
And in that prayer to Him, I cried and cried. And I felt something "leave" me.  :Mcry:   (In fact, it happened at work, and I had to leave because I was such a mess...)

So now I'm asking, can we get "rebaptized?" I think I'd give my life to get that joy back..

I'd love to hear your experiences and comments!...

Love to all,
brian
