Do we have freewill?

I know I should know this by now and even believed I did, however some circumstances in my life has me asking once again do we have freewill?
I realise we have choices sometimes seem like good but then later seem poor choices.
I am so back and forth on this, I often wonder if it is a character flaw thinking I know what is best and wanting to believe we have freewill?
I have had a serious problem with giving up freewill.
Thinking in my deep down gut I don't believe we have freewill, yet I know God is in control.
I have a battle going on pleas help me with this.

I could be wrong, but I believe that this is one of the topics that some might not wish to be discussed here. I think I recall reading that in some places here.

If that is true, I would be happy to chat and discuss it with you privately by email if you wish. Of course, if it's ok to share the topic here, then I would love to, not help, but at least give you some things to think about in your decision on this.

One thing that I will say is that I believe one of the reasons this is such a hot topic is because we tend to go to one extreme or the other, as though our decision-making and God's sovereign control cannot co-exist.

Yes Ron, not wanting to be harsh, but it is a "banned" topic in terms of outright, specific, ongoing discussion/debating of it.  People reference ideas around it one way or another "all the time", but as far as specific threads, there've been too many arguments and strife on the forum over it in the past.

Please do feel free to take it to PM all you want and as many as want to.  Also, I personally do recommend the J.
