The Lord tests and proves the [unyieldingly] righteous, but His soul abhors the wicked and him who loves violence. (Psalm 11:5)

No one ever told me that God has a soul!!

Blessings to all,
Brian

:cloud9: His soul was/is Christ. He took Eve out of Adam to show him what was in his heart, He took the Israelites out into the wilderness to show them what was in their hearts, and He took Christ out of Himself to show us what was in His heart. Blessings....

Beloved Servant

That was just beautiful Cardinal — just beautiful!

Beloved Servant

...and then He nailed Him to the Cross!

:cloud9: Because no greater love have any man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends........real love required demonstration in the natural too.

He also "died" by pouring Himself into a lesser glory, ie. natural creation, but we couldn't "see" that because of the veil of forgetfulness He put upon us in the very act of lowering us into it. So He had to demonstrate the way home; it is only through the cross. What a God we serve! Blessings.....

Awesome. A pearl of exceeding great and precious value.

Rom 5:8-11  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.  For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Now, If only we could be like our Father, and our Saviour, and love our enemies, and do good to them, forgiving them, and showing them the grace of the wonderful God we serve.

"If I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me".

Wow Cardinal! You started off my day right!!  :boyheart:

I think that sometimes we think that the soul is bad. But God has one.
Just like we think that the sheep are good and the goats are bad. But both are clean! Maybe the sheep is the spirit, the goat is the soul?....

Blessings to all here,
Brian

Cardinal

:cloud9: Yes, in the microcosm sense, I think they represent 2 natures within man.  Blessings....

Amen Brian

It is not a matter of the soul as much as it is whose soul.

We have been given the Holy Spirit but the "Holy Soul" remains in heaven undefiled lest we defile her...... heathens that we are  :laughing7:

When Jesus said the He must go or He would not be able come unto us again He had to return to spirit because He was born under the  Law.  :mshock: :mshock: :mshock:

Unlike what churches teach that Jesus was born under the Law because of the time of His birth being Old Covenant time....... but because by Law in order for our High Priest who is Jesus Christ to produce offspring in His Image (aka the Holy Spirit seed of Christ given unto us) He needed to fulfill the law of the High priest marrying a virgin.

In this case the virgin woman for Him only existed in Spirit that He needed to return to so that we may be given the seeds produced from this Holy Union of Spirit and Soul of God ......... BECAUSE WE NEED TO FOLLOW THE SAME LAW TO BRING FORTH A LIFE SUCH AS HIS WAS ON EARTH AGAIN JUST AS IT WAS THE FIRST TIME.

Are we going to have to die physically in order to accomplish this ???......... I do not think so as this is why we see this "Holy Soul" who is the virgin reserved for us that is the tabernacle for the Holy Spirit in us coming down from heaven to us for the great wedding in Re.21.1-3.

This is what Paul spoke of that the church calls to be the rapture that is an event and NOT JUST ANOTHER APPEARING OF HIM UNTO US AS ON THE ROAD TO EMMAUS OPENING UP THE SCRIPTURES TO US !!!

Until then we are to be able to be presented as 'chaste virgins" through the Holy Spirit being the Spirit within our hearts........ or as Paul spoke of living and walking as IF he had apprehended who has apprehended us.

Blessings

Doug

PS I can see why a "goat" could be understood to be the soul of man but IMO not quite. I am thinking we will have a "goat dicussion' later this week God willing.

Cardinal

:cloud9: AMEN Doug........ and I believe from what He has shown me in the last 8 months, that it is not far off. Help us all, Lord. Blessings....

The holy soul, a city coming down out of the heavens? Adorned as a bride for the bridegroom, in white linen? Living stones fitly joined together as a habitation of the spirit of God? Rooted and grounded in love, and filled up unto all the fulness of God? Jesus being the chief cornerstone? What! The stone the builders rejected has become the cap of the arch? Behold the Bride, the Lamb's wife!

I don't know. Sounds too good to be true.  :laughhand:
