Psalms 116:15

What is the meaning of Psalm 116:15,

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints"?

Is this supposed to be taken literal or is there another message in this short verse?

Precious in the eyes of Jehovah is the death for His saints.

I think it may be talking about Jesus. Anyone else?

Adam dies when we are born again.
It is speaking of Christ.

or another way of putting it is this- any(all) saints were dead in their sins before they were made Alive IN Christ, I will stop there because I don't want to redirect the Question.

I would hazard a guess that God does take pleasure in seeing the righteous die. He was well-pleased when He gave His only begotten Son to be sacrificed.
Being a Christian is about being sacrificed--for others and for God. When the righteous die, it sends up a pleasant odour to the Lord.

God doesn't care about bulls and goats, but about His children that He created in His own image. He sacrifices Himself for us everyday, and we should too, if we are "little Christs."

God is pleased in death that results in something more wonderful.   The catapiller in effect dies before it becomes a butterfly.
