Hello everyone. I know I haven't been active here at all but I wanted to let you know that someone posted "The Hell Test" over on another discussion board that I belong to (where I'm also not very active). This board is not exclusively Christian, though I'm pretty sure the owner is a believer. But the thread in question has had some members making very compelling arguments in support of UR, and as of today one of the board moderators has chimed in in favor of it. People seem to be really waking up! :)

I was going to post about it here earlier, but wanted to see how things evolved beforehand. Anyway, if anyone would like to follow the discussion it's at:

Debating is a lesson that is taught, I should know I've seen it with my own eyes, heard it with my own ears, and participated in it too many times in the past to say that this isn't so.

"There are absolutes, but it's not what people think."

The Spirit is boundless for it is not subjected to the limitations of human thought, thus, on the surface man's ways are really insignificant. And he cannot comprehend the existence of error; when too deeply immersed in it.

It is not love, but the lack of love which is blinding many of them. Although, I did enjoy the Spirit and genuine kindness within the Texan girl's written words.

it kinda sad, they repeat that "i don't listen to you but I listen to the word of God, the bible"

What If I was the tranlator and changed the bible a differant like Jesus said "Love me, kill your children, it the sight of God that please him"

They would still love the bible

But the point is, I noticed that, they kept saying "i trust God's word, not your" they keep forgetting that the bible was tranlated many time many years ago, and they do not have time to study but study the now tranlated bible, which is sad.

IceDash

however, this is truly sad

This poster said everything was based one "fear" not true gospel: check it out what the poster said here:

Ain't that the truth! The hirelings are working overtime these days. Satan and his minions and devoted followers want you to doubt God and the power of His Word and they're in full force doing everything they can to destroy the Word.

1) No more prayer in public places.
2) No more Bible reading in public schools.
3) The advertisers and mainstreamers forcing the "New" versions down everyones' throat.
4) The popular mantra: "the Bible can't be trusted if it's not in the original language," "the Bible can't be trusted if it's not in the original language," "the Bible can't be trusted if it's not in the original language," "the Bible can't be trusted if it's not in the original language," "the Bible can't be trusted if it's not in the original language," etc., etc.
5) Paul is supposed to be an agent provocateur.
6) This word should be translated that way and that word should be translated this way.

I actually see this sort of attack on the Word from a different perspective. With so many darts being thrown at Christ's message it must be a real threat to the powers of darkness that oppose the message. So ... the more darts thrown the greater my faith in the message becomes.

John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

I believe that some good Christians have been deceived by many of the serpent's whisperings. Don't buy into it. Build your faith upon the Word of God.

Okay my own word here, bascilly what the poster said that the bible was written by God, because God know what the bible will be in the future, and the poster said that universal salvation is the powerful "satan's whisper" to turn people away from God and his hell and turn to the loving God and his no hell

This poster make me puke...

Point 4/6.

The whole Bible (likely KJV) of that poster is a huge collection of "This word should be translated that way and that word should be translated this way."
And checking those translations is not attacking Gods word but verifying a translation againt God's word.
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

Well, things were going pretty well, but I'm afraid the discussion has degenerated. One of the posters started a new thread to expose the "heresy" of "Unitarian Universalism", which wasn't even the topic of the original thread. Anyway, it's been put out there and maybe some folk that needed to hear the real gospel will be reached now.
