Very nice!

1His foundation is in the holy mountains.

2The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.

4I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.

5And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.

6The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.

7As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.

A designation of an exceptional, holiness of life. Whereas, we likewise are to bear witness through the Spirit. Although many merely apply the term of Saint towards themselves in most religious groups; and live contrary.

However, excellent observation and comparison.

I think that people think they are supposed to be doing all these signs and wonders, healing people, raising people from the dead,  etc. etc... when I don't believe that is what Jesus was talking about at all. The reason Jesus performed these miracles, (healing people! raising DEAD people!) was so that the people at the time would believe that he came from the Father. This was no ordinary person.

What I believe the greater works is referring to is the outpouring of His spirit after he ascended to the Father. Do miracles happen today? yes. But these "greater works" are not what people think, in my opinion. God's spirit is WITH us. His love is permeating our hearts... THIS is the "greater works". LOVE is the "greater works". LOVE is the most powerful thing in this universe, for God IS Love. His indwelling spirit... is the greater works. LOVE....is the greater works. Nothing is as transforming as Love.

So there is nothing stopping you... CLAIM IT!
Go and LOVE.

peace.

:cloud9: Well, for one thing, you've got too many people telling them NOT to believe it, instead of TO believe it. I have tasted a measure of it, know others who have too, and fully intend to keep pressing in to the end until He can manifest fully, by the grace of God. My  :2c: Blessings....

Amen Cardinal. A million and one reasons we are told NOT to claim this. It's as plain as day to me.
I'm with you on pressing to the end. I believe the signs/wonders are needed first to waken a dead church, a church that believes our Father is capable of roasting souls in a blast furnace for all of eternity.
Once that army is awakened, then the first century miracles will pale in comparison.

Evidently, when ultradispensationalists convince other Christians to adopt their views, they view it as "raising the dead," and "clensing the lepper," (spiritually) etc.

Ha ha!  :laughing7:

Similarly, when hyper-preterists convince a dispensationalist, which frequently happens as most hyper-preterists are former dispensationalists, they view it spiritually as being "resurrected."

Ezekiel 38:21
And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother.

Hyper this and dis that.

carnally and Spiritually  both. YOU'D have to be there. So I wont explain because of all the unbelief on this board. And If I did say how, where and when, then the ism's people would try to talk the others out of believing it.

What? you cant raise the dead, heal the sick, clense the lepper, walk on water, etc..???   I have. And you can too, just learn the Spiritual.  and not the letter.

Lee do you mean you have done this physically or spiritually? I'm a bit dim sorry!

:girlheart:
People have and are doing these things physically.  But, let's face it, heaing the sick and raising the dead are routine business for doctors.  Why would you consider that so strange?

Doc. do nothing with out the will of God, and Only if God wills it.

All the things that JC has done I have done. And hope to some day soon go greater. Hope.  Belief in His Holy Name. Jesus the Anointed.

I consider them different Molly, Drs do it with medicine and medical equiptment, if someone is doing it purely through prayer and intercession thats something different all together. I have never witnessed a healing happen before my eyes so I wanted to know if Lee had seen physical healing happen because I am very intersted in it. I believe that people could be healed and raised from the dead by the spirit today as in the NT, but I think that most christians are too willing to stop praying after seeing the tiniest sign of improvement and call that the miracle.

Example, I have seen numerous people "healed", who actually had just stopped feeling pain, they still walked with a limp, their limb was not healed and the next time I saw them their pain was back too. This has happened a lot with various different people. The person leading the prayer always stops after the pain goes away, they never press on and claim the full healing! Its almost as though they dont believe the person will be fully healed.

Yes, there are lots of stories about people healing through faith alone.  Healing requires faith from both parties.  But, I wouldn't discount the doctors as 'medicine and medical equipment.'  Where do you think the medicine and medical equipment came from in the first place?  The government? lol.  It came from God, and any good doctor will tell you, 'It's not up to me'.  For the first time in human history there is a large group of people, adults and children, who have come back from the [clinically] dead.  And, they are telling their stories.  It's really quite amazing.  And, all of it is from God.
