Romans 8 >>
New International Version

11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

Does that mean that if someone does not have the spirit will not be raised from the dead?  (annihalation).

Or as I understand it, is this passage talking about the resurection when believers are raised to be with Jesus for the 1000 years?

Can anyone give me their opinion please?

  Hi Marc ,
In my    lowly opinion
I believe this happens  now to many
its called a '' quicking '' and have had them before as I am sure you may have as  well
  its a   wonderful  spiritual experience

Strong's G2227 - zōopoieō  1) to produce alive, begat or bear living young

2) to cause to live, make alive, give life

a) by spiritual power to arouse and invigorate

b) to restore to life

c) to give increase of life: thus of physical life

d) of the spirit, quickening as respects the spirit, endued with new and greater powers of life
3) metaph., of seeds quickened into life, i.e. germinating, springing up, growing

Jhn 5:21 For as the Father raises up the dead, and quickens [them]; even so the Son quickens whom he will.
Jhn 6:63 It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life.

  the word Life / quicken
  are  basically the same
that Joy when in the spirit  is the  Lord working in us
this  is what I believe / trust

WOW.  That hit me like a freight train.
Yes i have experienced that life before, before i turned away from God, seeking my own sinful ways.

In doing so i punished myself.

I just hope one morning i will wake to the voice "Arise oh sleeper and let Christs love shine upon you".
Because i made a terrible terrible mistake in turning away.

Your words made a lot of sense to me Rose, ill keep seeking God and hope he will have mercy upon me, a sinner of sheer disgrace, that i might serve him once again and help to put things right and to show love to everyone i meet.

Please God, grant me that, help me in my doubts!

There is no word 'of' or 'in'.  You could as easily translate it 'through Jesus Christ's faith,"  or "channeled through [the] faith [of] Jesus Christ."

Like I wrote in another post, if you write to the writers of the NIV and as for their standards, you will be very disappointed in what "they" did.

The following scriptures are saying the same thing:
NKJV
Rom. 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

KJV
2Cr 4:7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
2Cr 4:8   [We are] troubled on every side, yet not distressed; [we are] perplexed, but not in despair;
2Cr 4:9   Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
2Cr 4:10   Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

The point being the "efficacy" or "life" that is produced in God sufficiency.
The topic of this verse is not making the mortal body immortal. But rather that life dwells in the mortal even if it is mortal. This is the treasure in "earthen vessels".

Lee, if people could see this that you have put forth. It really does change everything.

Thanks for taking the time to post this. I knew and argued this before but it's been a long time. No one really had an answer, they would just move on.

All in Adam, all in Christ. God saw Adams lack of faith and ouch for everyone and then God saw Jesus' perfect faith and wowzer for everyone.

Makes so much sense to me.

I did a long prison sentence and had the time to study, I read every word of UR , tentmaker, sigler, JP Eby, and "all" the others, Most of all this info has been retained in memory, and I have the printed works of the above, so I can go and reference most anything.

I had many issues with ET'ers in this place, Their gun powder was the NIV and I wrote to the Publishers in the front of the book and asked to get information as to how decisions on wording was made, and they sent me a package with the answers, free to anyone who ask for it. Anyone would flip out as to what was done with that version. " I " know that that book is a book designed to mislead humankind with the intentions to make the reader a slave to their religion, and I wont put my all hated word in this message, that religion.

I personally would say that anyone who relies on the NIV is doomed to error because of the writers errors.   This was why I put together a small list of facts for my ET'ers in the dept of Corr. but it didn't matter because once you follow this religion, the biggest issue they teach is that there "book" is the best and only one to read because other mis-lead them.

All frigen lies to get you and your wealth. Lee Damboise II

HartleyDamboiseII

I truly am not trying or intending to hurt or slander anyone or what they believe, I just want some facts there to be there for others to go and find out this on their own. My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge...

what more, is the person, organization, or other that intentionally mis-leads with the thought of Self and not of the Body of the "Whole" .

Quote from: Leeactually it is Jesus having faith "for" mankind

Yes.  That's a perfect way to put it. It is HIS faith.  Amazing, isn't it?  But, I believe we can stand on his faith, in his faith, and [because] of his faith..  In fact, that is the only thing that allows us to stand--pistis Iēsous  Christos--faith Jesus Christ.

That  little word 'dia' which is translated 'by' or 'through'  is really a very big word--

"by" [faith Jesus Christ]

G1223
διά
dia
dee-ah'
A primary preposition denoting the channel of an act; through (in very wide applications, local, causal or occasional). In composition it retains the same general import: - after, always, among, at, to avoid, because of (that), briefly, by, for (cause) . . . fore, from, in, by occasion of, of, by reason of, for sake, that, thereby, therefore, X though, through (-out), to, wherefore, with (-in). In composition it retains the same general import.

Yes.  I discovered  the same thing.  The NIV mixes up a lot of things and was [probably] mistranslated [on purpose].

jesushandsarekindhands

If it is Jesus' faith that saves us, then truly we are saved by the grace of God!  He has accompished everything!
Surely noone can boast at all!

This is a powerful message i will be looking further into this, thank you Lee and to the others.

HartleyDamboiseII

As to the High priest had no true guide from God for many decades, B.C. , and lead the chosen (Jewish people) in what they want them to believe , their own agenda.

HartleyDamboiseII

I truly love it when anyone receives God's Revelation promised in Matt, 16:17,  or has is the word you used. All has received new life because of what He "did" a very long time ago.

HartleyDamboiseII

at 16:17 Now, answering, Jesus said to him, "Happy are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood does not reveal it to you, but My Father Who is in the heavens."
Mat 16:18 Now I, also, am saying to you that you are Peter, and  :HeartThrob: :bgdance: will I be building My ecclesia, and the gates of the unseen shall not be prevailing against it."

Now the lie that most religions want you to believe is that this whole story is about a man Peter, but it has nothing to do with Peter, The WHOLE reason for these 2 verses is to show mankind that "NOW" God deals with Mankind in person and not through the old system, ( a organization with a high priest) as its head, Jewish system.

On this I will build my church, Personal Revelation...
