Among the many great UR websites out there, including this wonderful website, i came across this one the other day.

http://www.universalsalvation.org/index.htm

It is up there with the the best of them in my opinion, easy to read, understand, and totally Biblical...Really eye opening stuff that deals with a lot of the 'hard' issues out there like 'Did God create evil', 'Was Jesus God', etc etc.

Check it out.

For it is God who works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure.

A website that really really blessed me is http://www.mercifultruth.com/eternity.htm

After I read it I felt I'd become a christian all over again because I had not know the God spoken if in the article but now do!

I think you just made a member very happy  :laughing7:
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

i'm wagging (playing hooky from) church today. So I thouht I would look at some more articles from the http://www.universalsalvation.org/index.htm

I just read this:

Universal Salvation is the purpose of God. At 2 Peter 3:9 it says this: "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." Can you see what it is saying? "The Lord is...not willing that any should perish..." Read it for yourself.

The Greek word there for "willing" is boulomenoV (Boulomenos) from boulomai (Boulomai) and it means, to will deliberately, to have a purpose.

The deliberate will of God is His purpose. Therefore, if His deliberate will is that no one should perish, His purpose must be for all to be saved. And that is Universal Salvation.

Isaiah 14:24 has this to say: "The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying, Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, And as I have purposed, so it shall stand". No purpose of God can fail, and Universal Salvation is the purpose of God.

It has given me more joy, more to meditate on and more of an insight into Father than any service I've been to lately.

jesushandsarekindhands how are you getting on with mercifultruth?

Nat

jesushandsarekindhands

Hi Nat, im finding merciful truth to be really really informative....I've been reading it slowly over the last few days because it is all new to me, and researching a lot as i have been reading.

I love it, it's one of the best articles and probably the most complete I've read so far on UR, and it makes a lot of sense and is easy to understand.
Ive been a bit busy the last few days, but ill talk more about it soon.

God bless, and hope things are well with you.
