UR tracts

I took some of these http://www.tentmaker.org/articles/adam_succeeded_will_christ.pdf  tracts, printed them off and put them around my church today before worship team practice. The pastor came and said hello not 30 seconds afterwards...which made me laugh. I plan on doing it at the other, but much larger church I attend next week.

Im praying God does something with them.

no, 30 seconds after I was done placing them around lol. the guy I spoke to at the restaurant was my worship leader at this same church, but the father of my friend and the pastor that debated me was at a different church.

I should print one of those off and run up to the church building I used to go to and put them all over, or AT LEAST, put ONE up. Even that would be a blessing to so many people!  :thumbsup:

all the ones I set by the sink in the bathroom were gone after church on sunday but the ones out in the hall by the other brochures and stuff seemed untouched. Mental note for next church I plant them at

perhaps, but the ones in the hall were right near the bathroom and in plain sight. so if someone threw away the bathroom ones they should have obviously seen the hallway ones once they left the bathroom. so, dunno. hope for the best

That is brilliant Ninja.  I don't know if I'd be brave enough to do that at my church.  Its easier to be brave online when you can be anonymous.

My church is RC with a heavy focus on love, minimal focus on hell.  By the way our preacher goes on, I sometimes wonder if he is a closet universalist.

itd be interesting to know how many pastors are actually closet universalists, or even church goers. Im sure there are probably more than wed think...

they might not even know their universalists...they may just reject the eternal hell concept in secrecy. One person from the church that I planted those at, is a closet universalist. He was going to bible college to be a church planter/pastor but now hes not lol. Id like to meet more of his kind

Pastors have doubts like anyone else. It's just that their profession demands they act very sure. By the rules of the denominations that pays them. Last year I went to a Bible class for noobs. (12x3 hours)
I quickly noticed all the fire was avoided. The pastor wasn't a UR but started to look into it a while ago and saw more and more truth in it. He (acted) interested in the UR info I gave him.
He also briefly mentioned he spoke of it with fellow pastors (superiors?) The just answered 'then you don't really belong here'. In a very informal way. More of less joking. So very likely they are no hardcore ETs only.
The person that did my intake chat only spoke about the love parts of Christianity.
The regulars (sort of seminar students) wheren't fiery either.
So not all ETs are by defenition full of hate. Or I just happend to find that one fallen away ET church...

I know hard-corers exist.  There are many of them, and sometimes they stick out like a sore thumb.  But sometimes I think we forget, that along with probably more UR believers than we know about, many ET believers aren't grabbing people, shaking them, and threatening them with hell-fire every time they open their mouth.  In fact, I agree, many focus more on grace and forgiveness - and my main point I wanted to make was, even if they do believe in ET, they'd rather not!  Many really aren't all that comfortable with it, they just think that's what the Bible teaches. (I have some idea what I'm talking about - I was in mainstream Christianity from age 1 to 48 of my life - at times, VERY involved.)

Maybe there's actually something hopeful in that - maybe many would be open and interested if they got good information.  I was talking to 3 family members this week.  One doubtful but thinks about UR, one new to the concept, the other, my mom saying "I'm open [to ideas]...I had never thought about 95% of humanity going to hell...Jesus doing all that for just a few.  I don't know if it's (UR) true or not, but that sure would be wonderful".  :bigGrin:

definitely. I dont think I EVER was comfortable with the idea, you just learn to put it on back file in your mind and never really dwell on it.

thats really who i put those tracts for...people that are uncomfortable and looking for answers

One of my old pastors (a real hell fire breathing one) admitted to me once that he cant accept hell for all mankind, and many more at the churchs i have been to have said they believe in a wideness in Gods mercy.  Its not uncommon, and with the knowledge we as UR people have, we could really tip the scales for them and confirm that what they feel in their heart is true.
