Well i've tried to keep my links to the 'world' just incase i ever needed to go back.  There are many times i have felt like throwing in the towel with anything to do with religion, and i really dont blame myself for that to be honest.  But i actually feel like im learning here...Somethings happening anyway.

It's an excerpt from a poem by someone named John Piper.
I don't really know anything about the guy... just the poem.

Here's more:

I believe that this delightful poem was written by the conservative theologian John Piper ("Future Grace", etc.) who says among other things that (Universalism preached by someone named George McDonald) "ripped the heart out of the cross".  Unfortunately for some of us (according to Piper) this delightful illustration of heaven is not to be.

I must admit I had problems with gay people in the past, but in the meanwhile I have no longer, I met one a guy who was gay I think and I liked him anyway. I suppose it's no greater sin than adultery with a woman or something like that, but let's leave that topic.

Thanks Sven.  I have a gay friend who is worth more to me than anything this world could give me, id die for him, hes one of the kindest most patient person ive ever met.   So...what can i do?  Religion has been wrong and let me down in the past, so...who knows where ill end up?  Ill just have to follow what love is to me.

Hahaha!  I've done some things for God in my life, but im not going to rip off my clothes and fall down naked for him lol!

I know exactly what your saying, but ive been hearing all my life God hates me because im gay and another thousand reasons, its just taking me time, i need time to get to know him again, it wont happen overnight for me im afraid.  I have to be sure this time.

 :cloud9: Although he could mean it literally (and that's ok too), I think the point is, that if you're "naked", it means you're not holding onto any old garments (false coverings) or trying to hide as Adam did in the garden with fig leaves. HE is to be our only covering.

It means to let go of EVERYTHING, and throw yourself on your face before Him giving Him ALL that you are, so He can give you ALL that He is. This is true brokenness, that has NOTHING to do with religion of ANY kind. Blessings....
