                                  NEW BIRTH   AND   ADOPTION

     How few ever think of recognizing the difference between the new birth and adoption as taught by the Scriptures? Yet these are things of consequence which should be clearly distinguished. The new birth is found ONLY in the Circumcision writings and has its application to the sons of Israel because of their covenant relationship with Jehovah their God. Theirs was "the sonship"  ( Ex.4:22; Hosea 11:1-4; Rom. 9:4,Greek), from which they STRAYED and became "prodigals" (Luke 15:11-24), or "the lost sheep of the house of Israel" (Mat. 10:5-6; 15:24)  For THEM to enter the kingdom of God and enjoy their sonship again, they must be "begotten anew" or BORN AGAIN by the water and the Spirit  (John 3:3-8; Eze. 36:22-36). It APPLIES STRICTLY TO ISRAEL AND concerns THEIR earthly salvation and allotment in a future day of restoration ( Isa. 66:7-9; John 3:2, 10-12; Eze. 36:22-38).

          On the other hand, Gentiles, who never had any sonship, are aliens, without hope and God in the world ( Acts 14:16; 17:24-28; Eph. 2:11-12). By His grace THROUGH FAITH they receive the ADOPTION of sons and are made members of God's family  (Eph. 1:5; 2:11-19; Rom. 8:15, 23). PAUL ALONE speaks of sonship by ADOPTION, and the salvation with an allotment of glory IN THE HEAVENS (Eph. 1:3-5; Phil 3:20).
          May we be very diligent NOT to confuse these two ways which God has provided for Israelites and Gentiles to become members of His family.

                          The second note of explanation is, that "in that era," prior to 2 Cor. 5:14-17, summer A. D. 57, during Paul's priestly administration of "the gospel of the Uncircumcision" among the nations, the Circumcision who received his message, were "justified OUT of faith," and the Uncircumcision "THROUGH faith" (Rom. 3:30), and " in one spirit also all were baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free,and all were made to imbibe one spirit" and were "one body" in Christ (1 Cor. 12:12-13, 27-28). Nevertheless, it must be distinctly remembered, that according to the Scriptures, the Jew remained a Jew and the Greek remained a Greek, with the Circumcision or Jew having the preeminence and advantage (Rom. 3:1-2; 15:16, 26-27; Eph. 2:11-12). And, it was NOT until we cross the date line-----"FROM NOW ON" of 2 Cor. 5:14-17 summer A.D. 57 -----that we read anything about the nullification and repudiation of fleshly ties and distinctions, covenants and privileges, and all becoming one by  A NEW CREATION. Furthermore, this truth and blessing of "a new creation" applies ONLY TO those who receive "the gospel of the Uncircumcision" and Its complement, " the secret of the evangel" of which Paul was granted the grace to be the "minister" or dispenser  (Rom. 16:25; Eph. 6:19). And, moreover, it is supremely important that WE grasp with clear distinction of understanding the DIFFERENCE between  "a new creation," by which WE BECOME "the new humanity," IN CHRIST,  now IN SPIRIT , and the blessed reality of it all when we are assembled in His presence and glory with Him.  Now, to accord with the truth of being "a new creation," and consequently, "the new humanity" in Christ, we are taught as concerning our conduct, to "put off from us, as regards our former behavior, the old humanity," that is, "stripping off the old humanity together with its practises,"  and to "put on the new humanity" or "the young, which is being renewed into recognition to accord with the Image of the One Who creates it, wherein there is no Greek and Jew, Circumcision and Uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, slave, freeman, but all and in all IS Christ" (Eph. 4:20-25; Col. 3:8-11).
           On the contrary, Israel and the nations, as such will be brought to God, in Christ, for salvation, and consequently, reconciliation and peace, with a conduct and deportment producing the fruits of "righteousness and benignity of the truth." However, there is not the slightest intimation of information that save Israel, "the bride, the wife of the Lamb, " or " the nations " will ever be " a new creation." and consequently, a "new humanity" as it applies to "the ecclesia (church) which is the Body of Christ."  Should they become "a new creation," they would be other or different, and therefore, Israel would cease to be Israel and the nations would no longer be nations! Yet Isaiah 66:22 affirms that Israel's name and seed shall abide, while Rev. 21:12 confirms the truth that even the distinctions between the twelve tribes will be "permanently perpetuated," and Rev. 21:24-26 reveals that the nations of the earth will continue to be nations, outside the holy city, new Jerusalem, and distinct from Israel. These are supremely important DISTINCTIONS OF TRUTH which must be clearly partitioned for the people, time and place FOR WHOM THEY HAVE BEEN DIVINELY ORDAINED, AND MUST NEVER BE MIXED WITH THE  Pauline revelation, IF we are to enter into the full measure of realization and appreciation of the transcendent riches of God's grace in His kindness to us, "the church which is the body of Christ," in our allotment of spiritual blessings and celestial glory as "a new creation," and consequently, " the new humanity."

Nine problems [out of genuinely about ninety-five] with two Gospels theory:

Rebuilds walls between Jews and Gentiles St. Paul said were emphatically torn down, and St. Paul calls both Jew and Gentile in Ephesians 2 a part of the New Man, emphatically making the New Creation the direct equivalent of being Born Again.

Presupposes everyone knows their geneology very thoroughly, when folks are discovering all of the time Jewish parts of their families that they never knew about, including to their own shock and amazement their own immediate bloodline being Jewish.

Divides from the teaching of the other Apostles doctrines, which St. Paul emphatically said in 1Corinthians that they were not to divide from the other Apostles over.

Mistakes the outcomes of grace with regards to new birth and new creation as being entirely different, by implication.

Majors on minors and minors and majors, i.e. semantical nonsense -- after all of the other stuff there really genuinely is to get right with the Body of Christ's theology, is this fuss genuinely, genuinely needed/desired when there are no spoils to be gained and no legitimate dangers to anyone's destiny over these types of nomenclature arguments?

Yet on the other hand, you might of genuinely brought hundreds of thousands of times more folks into an understanding of UR, had you not touched their born again experience and tried to make the moment of their genuine conversion debatable.  Had this been the first thing that I'd bumped into with regards to UR rather than Charles Slagle and Jan Bonda, I'd of hardened my heart irrevokably to this message 'cause I know I'm born again, emphatically, unequivocally, profoundly, and as Saul of Tarsus on the road to Damascus, my experience of being born again differs very very very very little from his!!

Not only is this more dispensationalist iniquity that robs father and mother and calls it no sin, but it's Phariseeism to the very core that would divide from believers over their resurrection from death in trespasses and sins that occurs in this life, otherwise Hell is very very real for them though eonian. 

It's a needless distraction from our genuine mission of leading sinners to Christ Jesus to embrace His Lordship per Luke 24, Acts 17, Acts 20, Romans 10, et. al. 

Jesus said to teach the nations, in Matthew 28, to observe all He'd commanded -- and He's the one that came up with the New Birth vernacular based on all of the Old Testament prophets and the law of Moses about the conversion of both Israel and the Nations, so, does anybody really wanna go here with setting Him aside as not knowing what He's talking about as something He's commanded to be a part of the discipleship of the nations??

10th issue with it, is it denies Galatians 3 about if you belong to Christ you're Abraham's seed -- whether Jew or Nation/Gentile.

when you quote a non-Paul book, I use it as a learning tool. but when you talk about my Gospel that Paul gave us, it pertains to me personally. Because this it the Gospel that I Live in. Gal 2:6  and Eph. 6:19 the mystery of the Gospel= the only one Paul Teaches after Act. 28:28

Lee, your commentaries are very interesting. I will explain how I understand being "born again" means from the bible.

Physical life begins by birth. Spiritual life begins the same way-- not joining a church and becoming religious. You cannot Join the family of God, you must be Born into it. (Jn 3:3) Regeneration means born from above or reborn. Titus 3:5 says "He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of REGENERATION and renewing by the Holy Spirit."

Your Regeneration or  being Born Again is a supernatural sovereign work of God. He replaces your heart of stone and gives you a heart of flesh.( Ezekiel 36:26) Your spirit goes from being dead from the law of sin and death to being alive in the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ. ( Romans 8:1; Ephesians 2:1) Regeneration is part of the "salvation package," if you will, along with sealing (Ephesians 1:14), adoption (Galatians 4:5), reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18-20), and many other salvation concepts. Being born again or born from above is parallel to regeneration (John 3:6-7; Ephesians 2:1; 1 Peter 1:23; John 1:13; 1 John 3:9; 4:7; 5:1, 4, 18). Simply put, regeneration is God making a person spiritually alive, a new creation, as a result of faith in Jesus Christ. The reason regeneration is necessary is that prior to salvation we are not God's children (John 1:12-13); rather, we are children of wrath (Ephesians 2:3; Romans 5:18-20). Before salvation, we are degenerate. After salvation we are regenerated. The result of regeneration is peace with God (Romans 5:1), new life (Titus 3:5; 2 Corinthians 5:17), and eternal sonship (John 1:12-13; Galatians 3:26). This regeneration is eternal and begins the process of sanctification wherein we become the people God intended for us to be (Romans 8:28-30).

Martin, I think that you may be mistaken on Gal 3. because all of Gal 3 is how it is now for us. Through Faith
It has nothing to do with saying some man set of words to be a member of His family; like "Jesus I except you as my Lord and Saviour"--Alter Call... Because I believe that every human that will ever be is going to be "saved" and "Now" is in the body of Christ. They just are awaiting the moving of the Spirit to awaken them. In this life or another "time"  L Damboise II

And of course I don't mind being wrong because I have been there so many times and will be there again.
