Meaning of symbol

Greetings

I was wondering if any here might know if the following symbol has any significant meaning to it.

The top seems sort of Christian Crusade type but the bottom seems more Mason oriented

I looked your term up online and found exact pictures of the two metal discs that I found on top of my car this morning

They have stakes attached to them that are intended to be placed into the ground

My natural reaction would be some sort of kid prank but one of the discs was in the center of the very top of my car....... a place I have to stretch to reach and I am 6'2"

You can see your rose in the bottom right picture.  "16-point compass rose with north highlighted at top."

Those stakes instantly made be think of the Yamaha outboard logo. Must have a nautical meaning. Donno what.

Ar the time I found these on my car I was concerned not knowing the meaning of the design and because I have been having a bit of a spat with some jewish mystics   :thumbdown:

However after the first reply sent me in the right direction I found that that particular "compass rose" indicated the time when Christians had come into possessing the Holy Land so I consider it it a good thing no matter what someone else's purpose was in putting these on my car.

What they are/is/was were markers on a golf course that were stolen from there and then placed on my car.........so I gave them back to the golf course even though I had intended to keep them because "what is in my yard belongs to me"

But golfers are a whiney bunch and I did not feel like listening to them cry about it
