 :grin:I have enjoyed Gary's inspirational emails for several months now, but only recently realized that he had a forum.  I live in the deep South. Having a varied background in Christianity, I came to the reality of UR through study and prayer several years ago.

The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2

I'd be interested to hear more about your coming to your belief in UR, if you wouldn't mind delving into a little more detail. It sounds, well, interesting!  :bigGrin:

Having been raised in hellfire preaching and moving in those circles for many years, I began to question the validity of that mind set. If God was love and the same yesterday, today and forever, then how could he be a God that allowed eternal torture.  Also, I began to question the use of the name of God in the Old Covenant to commit genocide in the Canaan land. The God that I knew in my being was not a baby killer nor a Sadist.  It dawned on me one day the first and loudest proponents of ET advocated torture in this world against what the institutional church considered unorthodox. I came to the conclusion based on history, the Spirit of God within me, and scripture that God so loved the world that gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes on him will not perish, but have age enduring life. And at the name of Jesus every knee will bow in heaven, earth and beneath the earth and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God.
