Are our broadest hopes broad enough? Shall there be a nook or abyss, in all the universe of God, finally unlightened by the Cross? Shall there be a sin, or sorrow, or pain unhealed? Is the very universe, is creation in all its extent, a field wide enough for the Son of God?

No cat's eyes should be stared into for 10 seconds.  Creeps 'em out and makes 'em think you wanna have their baby!

Same for dogs eyes.
Agressive dog? Stare in the eyes and they back off.
If not... kick the nose :happy3:
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

Martin,
What verse is that dog thinking about?
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

Assuming the dog is learning a verse a month, or that as his average, [though perhaps some seasons not quite as much,] at the obedience school ran by the Church, uh...

But she said, "Yes, Lord; but even the dogs feed on the crumbs which fall from their masters' table." (Matthew 15:27)

Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. (Joel 2:22)

16Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. (Psalm 145:16)

27Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.
28And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over man and beast to build and to plant, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 31:27-28)

29If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29)

16 "In that day," declares the LORD, "you will call me 'my husband'; you will no longer call me 'my master. (Hosea 2:16)

11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11)

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. (Psalm 23:2)

18And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely. (Hosea 2:18)

23 Then He will give the rain for your seed with which you sow the ground, and bread of the increase of the earth; It will be fat and plentiful. In that day your cattle will feed in large pastures.
24 Likewise the oxen and the young donkeys that work the ground will eat cured fodder, which has been winnowed with the shovel and fan.
25 There will be on every high mountain and on every high hill rivers and streams of waters, in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
26 Moreover the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the bruise of His people and heals the stroke of their wound. (Isaiah 30:23-26 compare with Mark 5's exorcism where the number "about 2000" is associated with animals going into baptismal waters as man is really entering into freedom.)

20 Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out freely the feet of the ox and the donkey. (Isaiah 32:20)

10 Thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouths, that they may no longer be food for them." (Ezekiel 34:10  -- on my interpretation on this one "when the plain sense makes sense and isn't contrary to His character...." and particularly in the light of many supporting passages that let you "go there"...)

16 Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet. (Psalm 22:16 -- i.e. as witnesses of this transaction and covenant cutting with God)

Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that are ruining the vineyards, while our vineyards are in blossom. (Song of Solomon 2:15)

13Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, singing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for the ages of ages!" (Revelation 5:13)

(Maybe I should write the AR version of Harold Lovelace's UR book with the hundreds of passages associated with the Gospel to the animals and mankind's obligation with this decade having begun to back off from abusing, exploiting, harming, harassing, oppressing, and killing animals for pleasure, profit, convenience, entertainment, anger, etc., because all things don't continue any more as they did from the beginning, but the Lord's longsuffering has meant salvation here too now.  Self defense still always applies and our understanding of the propriety of cannibalism should govern the rest of our behaviour towards them.  The human body is a PLANT rather than an animal and IT'S NOT a venus fly trap.  As mosquitos are STARVED for oxygen and sugars and therefore bite over that, mankind has been STARVED for chlorophyll, and hence their irrational behaviour towards animals, besides the demonic element {i.e. Satanic oppression} that took advantage of the same permissions granted by God regarding animals as divorce with regards to between human beings of opposite genders.)

Now show a Calvinist a cat or puppy, and ask of them to stare into their eyes for more then 5 seconds. Then, tell them "You really think the same God that made this creature is going to torture or annihilate them for all eternity?"
John 1
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
