The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2

I've got a thought or two on this, I think I'll see if anyone else has any thoughts besides "jabcat, you're weird"  :tease: before I weigh in.

Maybe I'll be worth my weight in paper weight as soon as I'm done with praying in the Spirit and am not grinning quite so hard over a conversation going on over here right now.  Maybe God will give me more for this thread, who knows?

Beloved Servant

Men can make the scriptures say many things once they leave the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Yeah, this was a copy/paste...I wonder how many more there are?

Any of you have any thoughts about a) the amount of translations and b) how they fit into the song?

So far we have surprise over the number, the fact that's even more than this, and BServ's observation/suggestion that we've sure said a lot of different things about the scripture, and maybe that we "mess it up" sometimes by getting away from the Spirit's leading.  That's getting very close to touching on one of my thoughts I'll share a little later .  I want to see what others come up with.

It may come as a shock to you SF; there are more languages than English. So very prolly more translations too.  :laughing7:
Just search for e-Sword Bible modules and you got a whole bunch that's not on the list.
Ofcourse many are just updates because languages change. For English that's not that important because it doesn't seem to change so fast. I have no real problems reading KJV-1611. But reading something from around that time in my own language (almost) impossible.

I have been reading the Companion since you posted that link, I really do like that one too. Thanks for that..

LOL! I don't know why I am so shocked. You know what? I honestly have never been a BIG Bible reader..I mean I read the Bible, but I have never been able to get into in depth like so many people. BUT NOW that I have been enlightened with UR, the Bible seems to be ALIVE to me. I guess I never thought about the 'other' translations that much...You are right, there are more languages than English.. :laughing7: :laughing7:

I like it too. That's why I bought a printed copy. That's just B/W. I miss the colors and links in the printed version.
Part of why I bought the printed copy was that if you read the notes some point to an appendice.
That's not in the .pdfs.
Today I found the appendices in electronic format. Not tested yet.

Gonna dig for better quality versions.

I think that's because your mind just blocked teachings that totally conflict with your personality/sense of justice.
